Chapter 13: The Rematch

I wake earlier than normal, remembering the long walk to the gym. I throw on normal cloths and brush my hair.
I knew I would have to come back to the pokemon center to pick up
Charmander and Seel, when Joy was awake, so I left the majority of my belonings in the center.
When I finally left the center, it was around 6:30. I expected to arrive at the gym by 12:00. After I had been walking for awhile, I decide to let Kadabra out."Good morning!" I say to my Psicic companion. It smiles and reasponds,"Kada-bra!"
I started to explain to Kadabra all about the gym and how I lost, every detail of it. This took me a little over an hour to do. By the time I was done, Kadabra was beginning to look tired. Exactly what I didn't need! So I called it back into it's pokeball so it would be in tip top shape when it battled.
At 11:00 I sat down for a snack/lunch. It felt good to eat. After another half hour, the gym came in to view. It was enormous! Even I didn't remember it being that big!
Though the Vermillion city was big, I had learned it was lowly populated. It must be really spread out!
Suddenly, I stupped walking. The gym was right in front of me!!! I walked through the door, this time knowing the way to the urina. I didn't need the sign or anything, I simply had memorized it.
When I got to the gym, I saw Surge at the door like he had expected me.
"Did you know I was comming?!?!" I asked in an unusual voice.
"Nope. It's my lunch break....HEY! It's you again. Back for more. It's worth missing lunch to cream a shrimp like you! Lets go!" he said and walked to the far side of the gym.
I hadn't liked the way he had talked to me, but at least I was getting a match..."1on 1, no time limmit," said Surge in a deep voice.
I had already selected my pokemon. It looked like he had as well."Kadabra!"
"Raichu!" Now I would see Kadabras true strenghth!
"Raichu, Thunderbolt!" called Surge.
The blast of thunder hurtled toward Kadabra who behaved as though it didn't notice. It was charging up for it's own attack. When the electricity neared Kadabra, it's eyes turned red. It held out is clawed hand. The thunder was redirected toward the roof. A huge scorch mark was burt into the roof.
"Huh?" said Surge,"That always works! Whats up with you Raichu!"
"Rai!" it said and tried again.
This time Kadabra teleported to the oposite side of the gym.
"Kadabra!"said my pokemon.
"Come on Kadabra, your tiring it out, now arttack!" I call.
It nodded. Once again it's eyes went red. It began to glow then Kadabra pointed to the ceiling. Riachu was slammed against the roof.
"Raichu!" cryed Surge,"Don't give up that easy!"
"Chuuu" it cied andreleased another blast of Thunder while it was still in the air. Kadabra teleported under Raichu. When it was close enough to the ground, Kadabra grabbed it. My pokemon jumped or levatated, I'm not sure which, up high."Kadabra! Stop you've done enough! We've won!" I yell.
Kadabra through Riachu down hard then it proceded to slam itself from it's airial point on top of the electric pokemon."Rai..." said Riachu weakly.
"Kadabra, though we won, you don't need to go that far next time okay?" I said, slightly angrey it hadn't stopped when I had ordered.
"Its been awhile since I've had to say this....but, heres a thunderbadge"said
Lt. Surge, obviously disapointed.
"Thank you," I say looking at the tiny shiny object I held in my hand.
I effortlessly walk out of the gym. Kadabra followed.
"Return!" I say as Kadabra is sucked into it's pokeball.
After another long walk back to the pokemon center, I walk to the desk.
Without saying a word, she carries out Charmander and sets it on the front desk. Separately she hands me it's empty pokeball.
"Remember, as long as the cast is on, you can't have it in the pokeball!" said Joy."Whats the quickest way to the rock tunnel?" I ask.
"You can go up to Curulean city. Folow the river to the forest.."
"You mean the rock tunnel is back in Cerulean!?!" I say."Yes," answered Joy.
"I don't want to take that route again," I say.
"There is one other path. It's been a family secret, but I don't think they'd mind if I told one person. It's called the Lunar Path. Rare evolution stones can be found on the path. You, if you wish, may take a maximum of 4. Please no more! You may sell them in the town, or use them on your pokemon!" she said quietly."How do you get there?" I ask.
She explains the whole complicated route and makes me promise not to tell a soul about it.
Since it's not yet to late, I start for the path with my injured
Chamander in Kukunas spot in my pack. I hope this won't make Kukuna jealous!
In no time I find the path. By now it is seven, so I decide to set camp and get to bed early. That way I'll have tons of energy before taking the path.

Chapter 14: Lunar Path

I woke up late to Charmanders cries. It was out of the back pack hopping around on it's un-casted foot."It still hurts huh," I say kindly.
"Chaaar,"said Charmander sadly.
"Okay, get back into the back pack, we're leaving," I say.
Charmander hops into the pack. I lift it up and begin to walk. Soon after I start to my suprise(and unfortunateness) it turns out Charmander weighs alot more than Kukuna. I don't know if it's supposed to be this way. Maybe my pokemon are messed up or something.
I have only been walking for like thirty minutes. I already am feeling tired. I knew I needed to keep walking though.
I can see something unusual stuffed under a bush. I walked up to the bush. I had to reach way far under the bush, but I finally was able to grab it. It was an odly colored stone. It may even be an element stone. Due to it's vibrant red shade I'm guessing it's a fire stone.
I hold out poketron to the rock.
"Fire stone- this rare element stone can be used to evolve two types of pokemon, Vulpix and Growlithe," rumbled poketron.
"Only two? Out of the 150(or 160 as poketron believes)," I murmer.
I continue to walk. Then I see a pokemon. It looks like Clefairy only bigger.
It is Clefable! Maybe Clefairy will play with it. That would be so cute.
I let Clefairy out of the ball. It takes one glimps at Clefable and backs away into me. It procedes to take hold of my leg. It begins to shake.
"Are you really that afraid of it, why?" I ask.
"Cleff, ff, fair,rr,ee" it trembled."Okay come back," I say, slightly irritated.
Clefairy gladly hops back into it's pokeball.
I start to jog. I see yet another interesting thing. It is a crumpled yellow peice of metal. It looks like a pokedex! I wonder if poketron can identify that!
"Pokemon I.d.er, the origional model of the poketron/dex. This primitive form of identification is no longer in production though some still use it. It was used mainly in the time period of 1960-70. It contains data for 122 pokemon.." it babbled.
I through the junk back to the ground. I was beginning to notice the trees were becomming further from the path. The Lunar Path suddenly came into a larger path a a funny angle.
"This must be the end of the path and I only got one stone that I can't even use!" I mumbled.
I saw a huge green sign infront of me. It said to go left to get to Rock Tunnel.I turned left and walked."Charrr!" my Charmander screamed.
I looked behind me and was relieved not to see the 'Primeape guy'.
Instead it was a very well dressed man.(A tux!)
"Is that a poketron," he asked kindly."Yes,"I answer.
"Then will you compete in the poke dex vs. tron tournement?""What the?" I asked.
"Pokedex and poketron companies are very competitive. Every once and awhile we have a tourney to show that we the poketron masters are the best! You will be partnered up with someone with your same number of badges and will have a
two on two match. You will be paid if you win," he said.
I definately need the money, why not!"I accept!"
"What is your name and how many badges do you have?" asked the man.
"Liegres and 3," I said proudly.He wrote this down in a little brown book.
"To make sure you are worthy of the poketron title you must defeat me. 1 on 1. Show me your best!"
I knew Kadabra was my strongest, but I didn't want to use it."Seel!" I call.
"Wartortle!" I was sure my water could beat his.
"Only use ice and normal attacks, it will be more effective!" I yell.
Seel used Headbut. Wartortle looked like nothing had happened.
"Siesmictoss!" called the man.
The blue turtle picked up Seel and then slammed it on th ground. Seel, from the ground, hit Wartortle hard in the legs with it's tail.
Wartortle fell over. Seel jumped up and began jumping on the turtle.
"Megapunch!" called the man desprately.
While lying on the ground Wartortle punched Seel. My poor Seel flew off.
"Icebeam!" I yelled.
Because Wartortle had been weakened by Seels other attacks it froze solid. Iwon!
"Congradulations! Come with me. You can stay in the building and you are to battle in the morning," said the man almost stupidly.
I followed him up the hill to a building.
