| About Our Chief Instructor... |
The Chief Instructor is Sensei Andre Tippett, 4th degree black belt and certified instructor. He received all of his training under Sensei Steve Banchick. Mr. Tippett has been studying Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do since 1982. His background has also included intensive training in Okinawa. Mr. Tippett is also a certified referee in the A.A.U., and has competed on a National level in Kata, Kumite, and Kobudo. As an Instructor he is both enthusiastic and demanding with his students, and believes in giving each personal attention and feedback.
Mr. Tippett is also a former All Pro linebacker of the New England Patriots, and is currently Assistant Director of Pro Scouting for the team. |
