The Tonics are - Gary Christopher - Vocals, Guitar Neil Jarvis - Guitars Michael Pattison - Bass Mike Bell - Drums Mathew Richardson (28 would you believe) - Harmonica and vibes Gary, Neil and Rick first got together in 2000 playing grunge/rock. After many long nights of arguing and bitterness they split. They started playing together again shortly afterwards with a new member on bass. The Tonics were born. Michael Pattison being the new addition and some would say missing link on Bass. Since then their sound continued to evolve. They came onto the Wigan scene last year(2005) playing their first gig in February 05 at The Tavern and have since played gigs all over Wigan and the North West. With an infamous gig at Wigan Cricket Club which ended in chaos with the police being called.. At present they are writing, recording demos and finishing songs and preparing to go into the studio again this winter (06). And obviously gigging. Since their last lot of gigs they have recruited a new member Mathew Richardson on harmonica. In June 06 Rick left the band to pursue other projects. And in July The Tonics recruited Mike Bell on drums. Since Mike joined the band has been in the best form it's ever been in and the writing pace has dramtically become much more prolific. |
