Farooq led the Nation of Domination until the group disbanded. While the Rock rose to stardom with D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry beginning a tag team career, Farooq essentially disappeared from the WWF. He returned with Bradshaw to WWF TV as part of the Acolytes, and his age problems seemed to have gone down the drain, as he fought with an intensity that he didn't even posess in his youth. The team joined the Ministry of Darkness before choosing to set off on their own. The duo found success as this team, winning the Tag Team titles twice. Not afraid to get hardcore in a match, the Acolytes eventually turned from heels to faces due to their Stone Cold Steve Austin-like attitude, pushed through bar fights and card game fights on WWF TV. Now, Farooq is intent on simply carrying out his goal of being the WWF Tag Team Champion alongside Bradshaw.
