Eddy Guerrero was truly born to be a wrestler. From the very beginning growing up in El Paso, Texas Eddy was surrounded by wrestling. His father, Gory, was a legend of Mexican wrestling, a former Rookie of the Year, twice Luchador of the Year and holder of two Mexican National singles titles, three NWA singles titles and one Americas tag title as well as being the innovator of the Camel Clutch. Playing with his brothers Mando, Hector and Chavo usually meant flying off the ropes of the ring in their back yard.
By the time he was 19, after eight years of amateur wrestling, Eddy began working with the Mexican wrestling promotion EMLL (Expresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre) honing his skills not only in the traditional high flying lucha Libre style, but also on the mat. His well rounded style led him to the WWA World Trios title with his brother Chavo and Mando in 88 and WWA World Welterweight title in 92 and made him a great match for any opponent.
Eddy Guerrero made a name for himself in the WCW and ECW before coming to the WWF alongside three other WCW "radicals." These young superstars who were never utilized by the WCW to the full extent of their talent, were made instant stars and heels in the WWF. After fighting and losing to get a contract with the WWF, they sold out to Triple H and Stephanie in order to gain WWF contracts. United with DeGeneration X, this group of Radicals will undoubtedly make a huge impact in the WWF in the near future.
