Debra started out in the WCW with little success. Then she got a divorce and came to the WWF. After securing a successful role and crowd reaction, Debra became a staple of the WWF televised events. After Sable left the WWF, Debra stepped up as the Number 1 woman of the WWF. A businesswoman paired with Jeff Jarrett, she distracted Jarrett's opponents with her "puppies" which allowed Jarrett to win. The strategy was effective, as it captured the Intercontinental title for Jarrett and also earned a "We want puppies" chant by the crowd. Debra even captured the Women's belt after losing a match, as ordered by Commisioner Michaels. Debra, involved with Stone Cold Steve Austin in real life, was given time off to spend with the injured Austin with the departure of Jeff Jarrett to WCW. When she returns, she will undoubtedly manage another superstar to fame. Although seemingly out of the question, the issue of whether she will return aside soon to be husband Stone Cold Steve Austin is always in the minds of her many fans. In early 2000, Debra hinted that she may have been done with sports entertainment to help out her husband, although a return of the Puppies is something one should not count out.
