Dwarven Madness I
Ever wanted slayers? Me too. I love those little buggers, I just love 'em.
But for all those, including me, who either want something original, or just
want a cheaper version, I wrote this article. You know, now that the briliant
Dwarven regiment is out, you can get 16 slayers for £18. You know, £15 for the
regiment, and then 3 for the green stuff. Let's see. In metal, that would be
£31 for 18 including command. About two thirds of the prize!
Anyway, on with the article
You will need:
1 Dwarven Regiment box
1 pack of Green Stuff
Modeling tools. A hobby knife is enough.
To start with, take the body of choice, and carefuly file away all the armour. Then if nessecary, sculpt muscels on it.
I didn't do that because of the body I picked. It is important that you get the back good, because the front will mostly be covered by the beard.
Then it is time for the legs. Repeat the process on the legs. Only remove armour,
remember that the slayer still wears something on his lower half.
Now, assemble the upper body and the legs. It is time for the head.
Take a head, and cut of about half the helmet, then file away the rest. Now, pick out your green stuff. Make this slayer hair, put it on the model's head and make small lines in it. If you are a modling expert, ignore the part on the hair assembling, and do it your own way.
Now, take one of the arms with an axe, and file away the armour and the cloth. File in such a way that it will be easy to sculpt muscels. Reapet on one of the other arms, or do like me, a one-armed slayer.
Assemble the arms and paint the model. The head can be painted separatly or on the model.
When painting slayers, I think that the most reasonable colour for the clothes are green.
