Summer is here and the BBQs are going full force so lets get marinating! There is no better way to prepare your meats than a good marinate. Try to marinate your meats a day ahead so that all the good stuff soaks right in.
This is my favorite marinate, when I use it for lamb I add a bit of fresh mint.
This is enough for 8-10 steaks.
10 oz. of Dark Beer
6 oz. of vegetable oil
½ tbsp. of fresh or dry Thyme
½ tbsp. of fresh or dry Rosemary
3 oz. of Balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. of cracked black pepper
No Salt (until meat is on the Q)
½ red onion - sliced
3 cloves of garlic cut in halves.
Toss all ingredients together and get
marinating Enjoy!!

Wine Pick
Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot, think Zonnebloem Chardonnay
Grapes for this winehouse are selected and brought in from farms and cellars all over the winelands, the wine making team headed by Wouter Pienaar can select and choose the finest quality in South Africa while keeping the cost reasonable for non-estate wine. This Chardonnay has a delightful honey with marmalade twists, wide bodied, hints of tropical fruit, with traces of oak, grapes from the Stellenbosch area.
