Until recently, dealing with unwanted facial and body hair was a tedious, painful and never ending battle, but now with the Laser Hair Removal on the beauty scene it seems there is an end in sight. Laser Hair Removal was first presented at an American Society for Laser Surgery meeting in 1995, and has since been quickly replacing dated methods of hair removal. Traditional hair removal techniques such as waxing, shaving, and chemical depilatories, dont provide much relief from unwanted hair since the hair grows back completely within a couple of weeks, and waxing for example, actually strengthens the hair follicle due to increased blood supply to the hair root. Electrolysis is effective, however extremely slow, and painful especially for large areas like legs, backs, and chests. With the newest Laser Hair Removal by Tamara Lattenmachines, a scanner covers large areas in just minutes, and although there is mild stinging it is relatively painless. The laser light specifically targets the dark pigment of a hair, and for this reason not everyone is a candidate for Laser Hair Removal, blonde hair cannot be treated as well as very dark skin. The entire area to be treated is covered with a cooling gel and then the laser pulses are quickly and evenly applied. The skin is usually a little red, and irritated but this subsides quickly. Several treatments may be desired to achieve complete clearing of the hairs. Although new to the market, there is no doubt that Laser Hair Removal will become the preferred method of removing unwanted hair.
