Super Mario World

In 1991, NBC made another Mario show. This time it was a little different, Toad left the show and was replaced by a dinosaur named Yoshi, who loves eating things. There was also this cave kid named Oogtar, who lived in a place called Dome City. He was good. This show had about 13 episodes that I know, so here they are.

Fire Sale- I think this was the first episode. In this episode, Cootie Pie doesn't like ice. She really wants fire. So she and a Koopa Troopa kidnap a plant named Mama Fireplant, who makes fire. Mario, Luigi, the Princess, and Yoshi try to stop Cootie Pie, but then they get frozen by Urchins! Except for Yoshi, who is afraid of water. When Cootie Pie tries to get Yoshi in, she accidentally steps on an Urchin. So Yoshi rescues Mama Fireplant and everyone else. Cootie Pie , who is trapped in ice, gets real mad. The Koopa who was helping her ignores her and is reading some Crime Magazine in a hammock. End of that episode.

The Wheel Thing- In this episode, Mario feels the cave people are doing too much work and invents wheels. Kooky and Bowser try to stop them by going in a robot and trying to destroy the wheels. But then the robot is destroyed by Mario and Luigi. Not much to talk about in this episode.

Send in the Clown- This episode is about when all the cave people are lured into a circus, just to be eaten by dinosaurs. Bigmouth, who is the ringmaster, has bad things happen to him too. No one can stand his talking too much, so the dinosaurs do bad stuff to him. Then, in Bowser's Clown Copter, he gets the Princess. Mario throws MechKoopas at him and then defeats him. So at the end Yoshi becomes a clown, a pretty funny one who eats juggling acts.

Ghosts R Us- Yoshi is scared of the forest. But he will have to overcome his fears when Mario and Luigi confront an evil wizard named Wizardheimer! He traps Mario, Luigi, and Oogtar and it is all up to Yoshi to save them all! Yoshi starts to overcome his fears of the forest and saves Mario, Luigi, and Oogtar from the evil Wizardheimer. The end.

The Night Before Cave Christmas- When Mario sees Yoshi and Oogtar fighting over some cave food, he wants the fight to stop. But then he sees many other cave people fighting, so he starts a holiday called Cave Christmas, where all the cave people should be nice to each other. Mario and Luigi are preparing the presents. When Oogtar sneaks to get them, he falls in the box. And then King Koopa tries to spoil Cave Christmas by making the holiday Koopa Christmas. When he finds Oogtar in the bag, he chases him around and traps him in a pit with a dinosaur about to eat him. Mario and Yoshi save him and Oogtar claims he doesn't deserve a present, but after he goes to sleep, Mario gives him a present. Oogtar also gives Mario a present in the morning and Mario ends the episode by saying, "Wouldn't it be nice if every day were Christmas?"

King Scoopa Koopa- Mario, Luigi, and the Princess find a restaurant called Scoopa Koopa's. The Princess has concerns about the food. There is a dinosaur worker serving a free sample of the Scoopa Koopa food, which is an egg burger (Is that what it's called?) Mario hates eggs, so he gives it to Luigi, who really loves it. They find Yoshi in line for the food. Yoshi orders what he wants, but when he doesn't have enough money, the dino worker calls out King Koopa and Yoshi gets harassed by him. Mario tries to stop King Koopa from yelling at him, and he gives Mario some food. He doesn't want it, neither does the Princess, so he gives it to Luigi and Yoshi. The food has a curse, which turns Luigi and Yoshi into chickens and makes Mario really fat. The Princess gets really mad and locks Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi in until they go on a diet. But when she and Mario see what King Koopa is up to, they try to get Scoopa Koopa's out of buisness. Luigi and Yoshi get really mad and try to attack the Princess and Mario as chickens. Mario and the Princess go to an underground dump and find Scoopa Koopa's garbage. With his feather power, Mario gets rid of all the dino workers. Bowser flees with all the money. The episode ends with Mario saying "Go home and eat your vegetables, Dr. Mario's orders!"

Party Line- As you know, this is the absolute worst episode of SMW! I don't want to explain what it's about, but this is my job, so I have to. It's about when Mario invents this really cool thing that everyone uses and has at home called a telephone. WOW! Alexander Graham Mario, according to Luigi. But then, the phone lines get all screwed up as the Princess gets trapped in a lot of wires, so they disconnect the phone lines with Yoshi eating them all. The closest person to being a bad guy is that big dinosaur who tries to attack Mario. And did you notice that the feather turns into a star? Weird. Mario is probably having hallucinations. Also, the colors are screwed up and their voices sound a bit different from what they usually sound like!

Gopher Bash- A better episode with Cheatsy stealing crops and Mario and Luigi getting them back! Then Yoshi eats them all and has to do the "hoe thing".

The Yoshi Shuffle- Luigi gets turned into an egg, being used as a football. Whoever wins gets control of it. It's Mario and Yoshi vs. Bully, Cheatsy, and Bigmouth. Will Mario and Yoshi get their friend back, or will they lose their friend to Koopas?
Nah, Mario and Luigi win, and get their friend back. They teach the cavemen cooperation and teamwork.

Rock TV- Bowser gets everyone hypnotized into getting Rock TV. That's when the Cave people kidnap Mario and Luigi and force them to wrestle the Tyrannosaurus twins. Mario and Luigi win, and the episode ends with Yoshi trying to eat bricks which Bowser is trapped in.

Born to Ride- Yoshi runs away from home to join a dinosaur gang after Mario and Luigi yell at him. The dinosaur gang betrays Yoshi and Yoshi and Peach rescue Mario and Luigi. They all apologize, and get together again.

A Little Learning- Hip and Hop really want to go to school, but Bowser forbids them to go since he fears they will become good. But they go anyway and cause a lot of trouble. Then it's the big science fair, where Mario and Luigi are the judges. Mario has very little lines and Luigi never talks in this episode. Hip and Hop are building a volcano and it erupts all over the place. Bowser finds them in school and chases them. They all get in the pipe, and Hip and Hop are expelled from school. The lava from the volcano goes into King Koopa's bed, where King Koopa begs Hip and Hop to rescue him.

Mama Luigi- It's Yoshi's bedtime, and he wants Luigi to tell him a story of how he got here. In the flashback, a lot of things that look familiar happen, Princess and Mario get kidnapped by some enemies, and Luigi falls down a lava pit, the site of Yoshi's birth. Baby Yoshi keeps calling him mama. Then, Yoshi is trapped by a group of Wigglers, but he eats them all. Mario finds them (he only appears in the flashbacks for this episode) and tells them they have to stop Bowser. But then Baby Yoshi eats a lot of things in Bowser's castle, but Bowser doesn't give up. He has the key which is the only thing that can free the Princess, but Baby Yoshi eats it right away and spits it into the keyhole, and that's when the Princess meets Yoshi. It then goes back to normal with Luigi saying good night to Yoshi and Yoshi calling him Mama Luigi at an older age.
