| A Collection of the Megan and Monica Stories |
 |
These are stories of things that happened when me and my best friend Monica get together. I don't know if you will find these stories remotely funny but I do...I guess if you don't then you just would have had to have been there. Scroll down. |
| The Aquarium |
The Glass Bottle |
| Once upon a time not so long ago (summer of 95) in a land not too far away (backyard) there were two little girls (me and Monica). Well they loved to ride bikes. They could ride for hours and hours around their block and love it. One day one of the little girls (Monica) decided that the other little girl's (me) bike should be a horse. Well the little girl (me) could not figure out how she could possibly mount the horse. The first little girl (Monica) explained to the other little girl (me) that if she stood on a glass aquarium near the bbq pit that she could easily mount the horse. The first little girl (me) being not too bright thought it was a brilliant idea. She mounted the aquarium and was about to get onto her "horse" when she heard a loud crash and bang. She (me) finally realized that she had gone THROUGH the aquarium and sliced her leg. She screamed in agony until her mother (my mom) came out to see what was the matter. As it turned out under all the blood there was a huge wound. She (me) was then rushed to the hospital and received 6 stiches on her shin (i think that's how you spell it). Don't worry..the two little girls are still best friends and they lived happily ever after! |
Monica and I have always loved to make "chocolate" cakes and pies. Our main ingredients consist of water, dirt, and leaves. One day we decided to use a couple glass bottles we found out on the side of an old road near my house that travels down to a cemetary. Anyways, we had already but the main ingredients into a bowl. We have leaves and dirt already mixed together and waiting for the water to be added. Well since we had the bottles we figured that we could fill them up using a water house located at the edge of the park. Well, the bottle that I had had dirt packed down inside of it. I could not figure out how to get it out of my bottle so I asked Monica. (VERY BAD IDEA) She told me that if I go and bang the glass bottle against the concert basketball court that the dirt will break up and come out. Well I figured..."hey that will probably work". I walked over to the cement and started to hit the bottle against the concert. After a couple swings the bottle started to crack. Then on the next swing the entire bottle shattered. My hand was already gushing blood when I figured out what had happened. I called Monica and told her that I was going home. My grandma put an ice packet over it but it would not stop bleeding. Turns out that I needed 8 stiches. HaHa! |
| The Nail |
The Monkey Wrench |
Well, in the spring of 93 the table turns...
Out in my backyard I used to have a 3 foot deep above-ground swimming pool. Grass had finally grown through the plastic bottom so we took it down. The padding under the pool was sand so Monica and I had a perfect place to build a sand castle. Our sand castle was coming along rather nicely. It was maybe two small buckets of sand high and 3 to 4 buckets of sand across. We even put a few little windows around the tower and such. We figured that our little castle needed some type of way to be protected so after 10 minutes of considering what we could do we decided on a moat. We dug a ring a few inches deep around our castle and realized that we needed some water to fill it up with. We didn't have any left so I asked Monica if she would go and get some. Monica left and I was trying to use a twig and a blade of grass to make a flag when I heard a scream. I looked up and saw Monica screaming so I ran over to her to see what was the matter. Turns out she stepped on a board that had a nail sticking out of it. You could see the tip of the nail straight through her foot. I ran inside to go get some help and when my grandpa finally came out he figured that he should just pull it from her foot. After telling her that he wouldn't on the count of 3 he jerked the nail out of her foot. I'm not really sure what happened but I think when she got home she went to the hospital. |
I still have no idea why anybody would think of adding monkey to the word wrench..but anyways. This story is actually a more recent one. This took place when I was about 11 and Monica was about 13. We just made a new friend and her name was Melony. We all were having fun playing basketball at the park across the street from my house when we decided to take a little rest. After talking about how much we hate school and playing on the swings and slide we decided that we wanted some water. As you learned before there is a water house at the park so we figured we could get some water from there. I don't have a clue why we just didn't go back to my house to get some nice fresh water but we didn't. ANyways, the water would not turn on so I went home to get a wrench. I brought it back and the handy man of our group (Monica) opened up the water. After all of us had gotten our fill we sat down on the grass and just at that moment another girl named Juanita rode up on her bike. We talked to her for a bit and had nothing at all against her until that moment. For some reason she picked up the wrench and threw it at Melony. Melony did not have time to catch it so it hit her right in the eye. After Monica and I had yelled, threatened, and ran after Juanita she rode home. Melony cried all the way to my house and all the way home after her mother came to pick her up. She had a black eye for over a week but there was no serious damage...and no scar. |
