Cigarette Smoking is bad for your health.

Why do people smoke ?

Based on a research paper for a college English class from 1992
I found the following reasons.

1. Some People Smoke because it stimulates them. Nicotine is a
Vasodialator and a Stimulant to the nervous system.

2. Others Smoke because it calms and soothes them during stress.

3. Lastly some start smoking because of peer pressure. It makes them
look cool etc. Then the addictiveness of nicotine keeps them hooked.

a.Nicotine is more addictive and habit forming than Heroin. Nicotine
withdrawals are quite painful for some that have tried to quit smoking.
Of those that have quit overeating and weight-gain are common problems.

b. Relative to the relaxing effect of smoking, Nicotine is converted by the
liver to the amino acid Tryptophan. Tryptophan causes the brain to
produce a neurotransmitter called serotonin. Serotonin Calms the body,
mind and nerves similar to and endorphin (Natuaral Painkiller Tranquilizer).

C. Overeating and consuming lots of carbohydrates causes the brain
to produce seratonin also. (Self medication).

4. Tryptophan cannot be produced and sold in the United States.
Research the historical product contamination issues on a searchengine.
Feel an urge to Binge eat or Smoke go to Walmart or other store and
Purchase Some 5-HTP (Five Hydroxy Tryptophan).
Take one in place of the above activities.

http://www.jigsawhealth.com/products/5_htp_serotonin.html?gclid=CMOZssSVyY0CFSBMGgodPEFqLQ

5.The main ingredient in cigarettes is nicotine along with 400 plus other
flavor enhancers that I will provide reference to below.

6. Nicotine is very addictive vitimin-drug and a Central Nervous System stimulant.
Like most substances in small amounts beneficial, large amount hazardous.
If used for long periods of time to provide steady streams of cash flows
to big $ Corporations, it not only harms your health but your wallet as well.

7. Nicotine when oxidized or burned becomes nicotinic acid. Nicotinic acid
sounded so harsh that it was renamed for consumption to Niacin(Vitmin B3).

Note: excess of some vitmins can be harmful.

http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/full/134/6/1633S

http://www.1stholistic.com/Nutrition/hol_nutr-toxic-dosages.htm

Niacinimide is a different form of niacin that is slightly chemically different and
non acidic.

Nicotine when smoke and inhaled (oxidized) becomes nicotinic acid (Niacin Vitimin B3).

Alot of the published research on smoking Nicotinic acid hasn't been
released to the public.

However, the US Government did study the effect of LSD on Military soldiers and
Through psychiatric facilities. Research Key Words: MKULTRA, LSD, Timothy Leary.

8. Excess Niacin(nicotinic acid) Causes or adds to Symptoms of:

Gout, Jaundice, Diabetes and Insulin related problems,
Glaucoma and eye problems, Gallbladder problems, Heart Disease,
Skin rashes, headaches, asthma, allergies, Parasthesias,
Neurological,and Rheumatic diseases.

9. Withdrawal Symptoms: depression, insomnia, irritability, difficulty concentrating,
restlessness, anxiety, decreased heart rate, increased appetite, weight gain,
and craving for nicotine.

Folic acid levels are generally low with rheumatoid arthritis, supplements seem to be most helpful with gout. High doses of 10 - 75 mg daily have been used to block uric acid production and have been reported to be more effective than drugs in reducing uric acid blood levels.

Conventional medicines side effects caused other illnesses or half-killed me. Herbs have side effects also. A solution besides the others on the following page is to take capsules
and make tea with the contents and save the gelatin capsules for custom or reduced doses.
Filter the tea through a paper towel or other cheasecloth etc. Herbs seen as foreign invaders to some and harsh on digestive tract. Take only with meals any medicine or supplement.
