Tom, Travis, Mark
"The band met years ago probably somewhere in San Diego where they all went to High School. The original band consisted of Mark Hoppus (Bass, Vocals), Tom DeLounge (Guitar, Back-Ups), and Scott Raynor (Drums). The band was known for their love for toilet-humor, as well as some killer songs. The band created a demo-tape, which is impossible to get (Flyswatter). And then after releasing some demo compilations and stuff. They released an album on Kung-Fu records (Buddha) for a long time this album wasn't known and just sorta fizzled out. Then after switching to Cargo records, Blink-182 released Chesire Cat -- which contained songs such as M&M's, and Wasting Time. Blink was still not quite a mainstream band until they released -- yea, I bet you all know what song -- Dammit. The rocking guitar riffs, and the killer vocals, Dammit soon became a teenage punkers anthem.
After the huge success of Dude Ranch, Blink toured and kept playing. Scott Raynor then left the band. Why? Well that is open to discussion. At first it was said he was going back to school, and left on good terms. But recently it has been said that he left on bad terms, and was sort of forced to leave. Whatever the reason, he left and Travis Barkeyeo
r took over. Travis came from the Aquabats, he plays a mean set of drums which I am sure you all know from blink-182's recent release, Enema of the State. With the hit single, What's my age again? -- blink is once again taking over.
So watch out America, blink-182 is here to take control of your ears -- get into your mind -- and conquer you, and some day Uranus."
