Handling:
Remember handle hamsters very carefully they are very fragile creatures .
When you first get a hamster try picking them up with a bowl or cut an empty two litre in two and use the bottom half to pick up the hamster . Once the hamster is totally comfortable with the bowl , then try picking it up by cupping your hands around the hamster and picking it up , it is not unusual if your hamster is scared the first time you pick it up.

Taming:
The key to taming your hamster is the hamster geting to know you ,by letting it sniff your hands(make sure there is no food on your hands) and playing with it. Remember, it is better to play with them in the evening because thats when they are active. If you wake them up in the day to play, they might be a little grumpy ( I know I would be ).
