| A lightweight spacecraft of the Naboo people. It expresses the values of their native culture. It embodies the Naboo passion for elegant design, and includes all the necessary equipment within a custom - designed spaceframe, making the ship a work of art. It can manuever with quickness and precision. In accordance with the Naboo philosophy of harmony, the engines were modified for cleaner operation, which results in fewer atmoshperic emissions during launch and landing cycles. |   |
| Sandcrawler | TIE Fighter |
| An ancient vehicle, the sandcrawler is rusted and pitted from long exposure to the twin suns and harsh winds of Tatooine. Driven by a nuclear steam engine, the massive vehicle contains ore processors and metal crushers as well as crowded workshops and repair rooms. A warren of Jawa living quarters fills the upper section. | TIE stands for Twin Ion Engine. The TIE fighter is a small ship whose distinguishing feature is the pair of large hexagonal solar array wings on either side of its spherical cockpit pot. They depend on home base - a nearby planet or Imperial cruiser. They carry two days worth of supplies and must refuel after about two hours of combat. Each TIE has a pair of forward mounted fire - linked lazer cannons. The fighter draws much of its energy from solar radiation absorbed by the array wings. |
