Buff Bagwell
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 247 lbs
Hometown: Marietta, Georgia
Birthday: January 10, 1970
Pro Debut: 1990
A.K.A.: Marcus Alexander Bagwell, Handsome Stranger
Signature Maneuver: Buff Blockbuster
He's Buff and he's the stuff. The face, the body, the ability...Bagwell has it all. The combination makes Buff one of the superstars of pro wrestling.
Formerly Scott Steiner's tag team partner in the nWo, Bagwell has emerged from that failed relationship to thrive in the singles division. Buff's popularity isn't hard to understand. Women love him and men want to be like him.
Buff's stuff starts with ability. He combines a unique blend of power and quickness to subdue his foes. He was WCW Rookie of the Year and won three WCW World Tag Team Titles with three different partners. Buff made a statement for the young guns of WCW by pinning 14-time World Champion Ric Flair on a 1999 Nitro. Besides belts, Buff also has the respect of both the fans and opponents. In 1998, Buff severely injured his spinal chord and neck in front of a national television audience of millions. At the time, fans and WCW could only hope that he would walk again. Not only did Buff meet that challenge, but he also returned to the squared-circle better than ever.
Buff brings more to the table than just his in ring ability. He gives the fans what they want to see. They want to see Buff dance. Check. They want to see Buff pose. Check. They want to see Buff do impersonations? Surprisingly, yes. He has brought down the house with his hilarious dead-on imitations of Scott Steiner and The Cat. Bagwell has starred in two movies, The Day Of The Warrior and Return to Savage Beach.

Buff Bagwell
Buff Bagwell, who once once wrestled under the name "The Handsome Stranger" in the Global Wrestling Federation, is enjoying more popularity than ever and is certainly no longer a stranger to fans.
The wrestler formally known as Marcus Bagwell has seen many different looks since his WCW debut in 1992. He began as a protege of Sting and initially wrestled in singles competition for a short while. He got a minor push his rookie year when he became involved in an angle with the horsemen. That angle did little for him so he then switched to tag teams.
Bagwell is a four-time former WCW World Tag Team Champion with three separate partners, and is the only man who can claim such a feat. His first partner was Too Cold Scorpio. Together they climbed the ranking is 1992 and defeated the Nasty Boys for the titles one day before Fall Brawl only to lose them back the next night. Shortly after that, Bagwell teamed up with the masked Patriot to form the team "Stars and Stripes". As a team, Stars and Stripes won the tag team titles on two seperate occasions, defeating Harlem Heat in both instinces. However, although Bagwell won championships in those teams, he still lacked what he was most after, and that was respect.
After the Patriot left WCW, Bagwell teamed with a jobber, Scotty Riggs, and changed his look to that of a sex symbol. The two became known as the "American Males," and quickly won the WCW World Tag Team titles. But they quickly lost the belts and never to and never regained them. The duo also quickly lost their fans as they began losing more and more matches. Bagwell saw his career was headed downward and would continue unless opportunity came along. It did in the form of the nWo.
Bagwell turned against Riggs after the NWO demanded that WCW wrestlers convert their contracts to NWO contracts. That night, Bagwell was the first to approach the ring after the ultimatem. As Bagwell and Riggs stood in the ring with the NWO, Bagwell gave Riggs a neckbreaker and joined the New World Order. Soon after, Bagwell began calling himself "Buff", since he claimed he was much more muscular than his former partner Riggs. Bagwell defeated Riggs at NWO Souled Out, and after a long period of competing in Japan, Bagwell has returned to U.S. competition in an increased role within the NWO.
He is currently teaming with Scott Norton as a new tag team called "Vicious and Delicious," a team which has high expectations by fans who feel both Bagwell and Norton have been underused. Today, Bagwell has continued to show a cocky and arrogant attitude, and is primed for the big time as many feel he is better than ever.
