Pallet: Choose one Pokemon from Prof. Oak as your starting Pokemon-Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur. First time player's, choose Bulbasaur. If your experieanced, i like charmander. THen go get Potion from you computer in house. Go down route 1 to Viridian
Viridian City: Get Oaks Parcel at the Pokemart. Then deliver it to Prof. Oak and get the Pokedex. Then you can by Pokballs. Take rout 2 to Viridian Forest
Viridian Forest: Get potion, antidote and pokeball here. Defeat 3 trainers with east bug pokemon all under L10. First place to catch pikachu's here, but they are rare. Get out and enter Pewter.
Pewter City: Beat Brock for Boulder Badge, i rccomend using Squirtle or Bulbasaur. Get Old Amber once you get cut later in the game. Take rout 3 or 4 or something to Mt. Moon.
Mt. Moon: Get escape rope, 2 moon stones, (one is hidden) rare candy and TM12 (water gun) beat super nerd and get dome or helix fossil. This is the only place to get a clefairy other than the coin corner. Exit and go to Cerulean City.
Cerulean City: Beat Misty, i reccoment Bulbasaur (Ivysaur by now) or Pikachu if you caught one. Butterfree @ level 18 with sleep powder is very good teamed w/ a pikachu. Go to bills house and get SS Anne Ticket. Beat gary. After you beat the elite 4 (much later in the game) use surf in the water on the west side and go into the cave, where there is many strong pokemon. Go down to the underground tunnel and go to Vermellion.
Vermellion City: Go on the SS Anne. Beat Gary there. Go to the captains cabing and he will give you HM01, cut. Then, use cut to beat Lt. Surge. I reccomend you use a diglett or dugtrio, you can catch those in the east in digletts cave. Go through digletts cave and get HM05, flash, which you use to light up rock tunell. you will also find a moon stone here if you go down farther. right after you get out of digletts cave, there's a house where a kid will trade u his mr. mime for your abra If you have 30 pokemon, get the item finder from oaks aide. trade a spearow for a farfetche'd. this is the only place tyou can get him in the game. get an old rod to catch magikarp and go back to cerulean.
Cerulean: Cut down the bush in the east, past the gym, and keep following the trail. You will eventually come to rock tunell.
Rock Tunnel: This is very long and grueling, so make sure you healed your pokemon before you entered. use flash to light up the place. Once you get out of it, youre in lavender town.
Lavender town: Nothing to do here yet, so just go wst till you find another underground tunnel. follow it then go to celedon.
Celedon City: First, you gotta go to the mega mart. inspect everything. then go to the rooftop and buy 2 fresh water, 1 soda pop and one lemonade. give one of each of those to the thirsty girl, and she'll give you the TM's for rock slide ice beam and tri attack. don't forget on the 3rd floor to talk to everyone one person will give you TM18 counter aTTCAK. When you leave beat erika. you need cut to get to her. after that, go west till you find another tree to cut down. cut it, go west more untill you see a tiny house. go in and talk to the girl and she gives you HM02 fly. then go to a different house back in celedon, i think it the first one in the south, and talk to all the people, one of the guys will give you his coin case. then go to the celedon coin corner and talk to everyone, some will give you coins, and when you look around on the ground by pressin a you will find about 200 more. then you can buy coins fromm the guy at the counter. then you can play the slots and get coins to exchange for prizes next door. but i reccomend saving up money and buying coins till you have enough. after that, go over by the poster with a guy there and talk to him. then you will fight him. when you beat him, klik the poster and a starirwell opens up. go into it, it's the rocket lair. once you find the lift key, beat giovonni and get the silph scope. when your through, go over to the building by the underground tunell and go in. a guy will see gee i'm thirsty! but you have the fresh water and he takes it and let's you in to safferon city!
Safferon City: You should come back once you get your pokemon higher, because you need to go to silph, get the card key and beat giovonni again, but before you beat him, you have to beat gary, who has his starting pokemon a L40. after you beat him, talk to the other guy there and he give you lapras! then go beat giovonni. after that, talk to the president of silph,and he gives you the one, the only, the only in the game, master ball! after you win, only then can you enter sbrina's gym. the teleporter's are trickey there, but keep going to the bottom left one, and you'll soon find her. after you beat her, go beat the fighting dojo next door, and choose hitmonchan or hitmonlee as a prize. then go to lavender...
Lavender: Use the silph scope and go into pokemon tower, there you can catch ghosts. at the top, beat the rocket members and talk to mr. fuji. then he gives you the pokeflute. then go south and wake up snorlax with it (it's pretty far south) there are only to snorlax in the game, so be careful. then you keep going, and you will come to fuschia...
Fuschia City: Go to the safari zone. you will find many pokemon there that you can't find anywhere elso. at the end, there is a secret house with a guy who gives you HM03, surf. to use this you need to beat koga first, so don't get too anxious. right near there is a pokeball w/ the gold teeth. when tou leave, give em to the warden in exchange for HM04, strength. then go beat koga. west of the city is a building. go upstairs and a guy will give u likitung for slobro. this is the only place for likitung. If you want to go to seafoam islands, go south of Fuschia nad surf. but i reccomend not because it takes a long time to get back out. i reccomend flying to pallet.
Pallet: Go to south of the town and surf. there is a feild where you can catch pidgey over level 20, pidgeotto at 30, raticate at 30, rattata over 20 and tangela at 28. this is the only place to catch tangela. if you keep sufing south, you will find cinnibar island...
Cinnibar Island: First, go into the lab in the south. in the second room, talk to one of the guys and he'll give you TM35, metronome. then go to the 3rd room and one of the guys will take which ever fossil you took at mt. moon and the old amber. give them to him (you can only do one at a time) ad walk out of the building. then walk in again. then talk to him and for the old amber he gives you aerodactyl, for the helix fossil he gives you omanyne, and for the dome fossil, kabuto. if your looking for the stronger one, i reccomend kabuto over omanyte, cuase he get's very strong when he evovles. they both evolve at L40. then go in to the building in the north and look around. you'll find many things there. you need to experement w/ the statues. then, at the end, you'll find the secret key. when you get that, go to blaines gym and beat him. then surf east to the seafoam islands.
Seafoam Islands: You should stock up on ultra balls at cinnibar before you come here, because there are a lot of new pokemon. if you experement with the boulder's by pushing them in the holes and following them, soon enough, when you get them all in, you can surf around and can find the legendary bird, articuno.
Now, you need to go back to viridian and beat giovonni for the last time, in his gym. then go to the pokemon league. i'm done telling you what to do. but there are still many more secrets to be discovered...
