“What?! You can’t!!”, a strong voice cried
“I’m sorry Dio but your mortgage is overdue.”, a man replied over the PHS.
“But Rufus! Business is slow I can’t do anything about that.”, Dio said.
“You have three days Dio” Rufis said.
“But—“ before Dio could finish he heard a click, then a tone.
“Oh man, how am I supposed to get that much money in three days?” Dio said as he walked out into the desert.
He decided to fight monsters for a while.
After winning his first few battles, he said “Heh, this is kinda fun……”
“..hmmmmm….that’s it!!” Dio hurried back to the Gold Saucer.
On the PHS, Dio said “Hello? Fort Condor? Yes, this is Dio from the Gold Saucer on the Western Continent, send me workers right away!

Moments later, 15 workers arrived at the Gold Saucer.
“O.K. guys, drill a hole here, then connect them to the other rooms, and then…” Dio instructed
A worker called out to the others, “You heard what he said, now get the work!”
After the new room was finished, a new hole was added between the ‘Chocobo Racing’ hole, and the ‘Wonder Square’ hole.
Dio activated his PHS again and dialed a few numbers in “Hello? It’s Dio again, do u think u can send me several fighters?”

Later, 20 fighters were grouped in front of Dio.
Dio hollered, “Everyone follow me!”
The fighters filed behind Dio into his buggy, he drove around the desert until he found a pack of Harpies.
“O.K. boys, get those monsters into that cage”
At first, all fighters charged at the monsters but were batted back and ended up unconscious.
“Umm… lets try a different approach” said Dio with an annoyed look on his face.
The next day, a delivery truck came with 20 ‘Manipulate’ materia and 20 ‘HypnoCrowns’ and each fighter received one of each.
After manipulating thousands among thousands of creatures and leading then into steel cages, the workers packed then into a hidden cave behind the wall of one of the new rooms and dumped a few boxes of the ‘Wonder Squares’ prizes into machines in the new room also.
Dio then posted a signs in North Corel that read ‘NEW GENERIC ACTRACTION AT THE GOLD SAUCER NOW AVALIBLE’.
Customers stormed into the Gold Saucer the new day.
A man in a chocobo costume was repeatedly blabbering welcomes.
“Welcome- Hello! Welcome to the Gold Sau- Enjoy your st-*puff puff*
People were defeating most of the monsters and having fun and getting prizes for that.
“This seems to be working, the cash is rolling in!…Especially from that spikey haired blond with the big sword.” Dio observed on a security screen as the man defeated every monster that was released from their cages and entered through the hidden cave.
“Hey Rufus, guess what.” Dio said over the PHS
“What is it?” Rufus replied
“It should be coming in the mail any minute now” Dio said with a grin on his face.
“Telegram Mr. President.” A Shinra soldier reported.
“Congratulations Mr. Dio, you have paid in full for the Gold Saucer”
Dio smiled and put away his PHS, then said to all the staff “We’re back in business!…..I think I’ll call it……BATTLE, SQUARE.
