Dragonball Z - Buu Saga

Preparations begin for the tournament at Buruma's house. We learn that Vegita will be entering, but more surprisingly we learn Goku will be as well. Son is going to use his one day back on Earth to participate in the tournament, and through Kaio tells those waiting at Buruma's house.

Gohan flies around telling the others the big news: Kuririn, his wife #18, and his daughter Maron; Piccolo and Dende; and lastly his mother and little brother. Surprisingly, Chi-Chi has no problem letting Gohan compete with the prize money at 100,000,000 zeni.

With that, the Z warriors begin training with a month left until the tournament. After a seven year period of peace, the fighters are still a little rusty. Gohan and Goten begin sparring, and Gohan is surprised at Goten changing into SSJ with no difficulty. Videl shows up at the Son residence, and demands Gohan keep his promise of teaching her to fly. They all continue to train, and eventually Videl and Goten learn Bukujutsu. A month passes, and each fighter finishes up their training. All hop into Buruma's flying car and head towards the location of the tournament.

While on the island where the tournament is held, Goku teleports in. Everyone is glad to see him, but Goten is hesistant. After all, he's never seen his father before. When signing up for the tournament, the boys learn that anyone 15 and under is entered in the kids division. Goten and Trunks are disappointed.

The Z warriors meet up with their old friend the Budoukai announcer, who knows that Mr. Satan is not the world champion. To qualify the contestants, a special punching machine is set up to gauge strength (the list of scores can be found here). The Z warriors barely tap the machine and produce impressive results. When it's Vegita's turn, he smashes it. A short re-enactment of the Cell Game is played on a giant TV for the audience just before the competition (This scene is pretty funny...right down to the ZTV spoof).

After the eliminations, the youth division begins. Both Trunks and Goten have no problem beating their opponents, and meet each other in the final round. They fight fairly evenly, but Trunks is just a little bit better. He eventually knocks Goten out of the ring, and wins the youth division. As his reward, he gets to fight Mr. Satan. Being the coward he is, Satan "lets" Trunks win to save face.

Goten and Trunks aren't happy with the competition in the kids' division, so they beat up one of the adult competitors (Mighty Mask) and steal his clothes. The drawing for the match line-up begins, and Kuririn is the first Z warrior to fight. Kuririn mangles Butter in the ring for an easy victory.
