The Delaware Association of Mobile Entertainers (DAME) is a non-profit association of professional entertainers (Disc Jockeys, Karaoke Jockeys, and Video Jockeys who provide pre-recorded music in public entertainment venues or for private events) who are concerned with maintaining a high standard of quality in performance and business ethics. DAMEs goal is to ensure that the consumer receives the best music and entertainment service for their function. We are also committed to educating consumers on how to go about choosing a true professional Disc Jockey. When a consumer selects a Mobile Entertainer who is a member of DAME, that consumer can rest assured that the event will be handled properly, that the Mobile Entertainer will be courteous and responsive throughout the entire process, and that the Mobile Entertainer is a professional who is properly licensed and insured. An added incentive is the knowledge that every member is committed to assisting other members during emergency situations.
DAME encourages the success of its members through continuous education and networking. Together members can achieve greater success, which will only benefit our clients, by providing a higher quality of service, performance, talent and professionalism.
DAME seeks to form strong relationships with vendors in other industries who are involved in event planning, hosting or participation. Through interaction with other professionals, such as caterers, photographers, event venues, etc., valuable information can be exchanged, and a solid understanding of each professionals performance needs can only strengthen the overall service provided to the consumer. Event venues can also be assured that the DAME performer will responsibly operate in the location, and respectfully interact with their personnel.
DAME is not a policy- or price-setting authority. Membership is voluntary, but in order to become a DAME member, each Mobile Entertainment Company must agree to abide by the strict guidelines established in DAMEs bylaws and Code of Ethics. These guidelines were established simply to ensure that all DAME members operate in an ethical and professional manner, and to ensure that consumers, other event professionals, and event venue operators receive consistent quality and professionalism.
DAME encourages members to: Be Professional Satisfy every customer to the best of their ability Stay current (through continuous education) with trends in the industry Deliver what is promised Share their knowledge and expertise
