Toy Commander
No Cliché's upcoming toy sim
is a bit odd, but that just may
be what makes it worthwhile...

If you're anything like me, you probably
recall running around your house with a
mess of toys, imagining a whole world of
adventure just waiting for you. No
Cliché's new action title, Toy
Commander gives you the chance to do
just that, as you play out the childhood
games of a young boy, but controlling his
toys in a series of mission based
mini-games.
This one sounds a bit odd, but to tell you
the truth, it's kinda growing on me. The game sports some smooth
visuals, and developers promise over 35 missions and even more distinct
vehicles, where you do everything from storm the high seas of the bathtub
with your combat plane to protecting the citizens of the kitchen floor from
an out of control fire-breathing bunny.
With the promised amount of variation, it should be interesting how Toy
Commander manages to balance the various vehicles in terms of
adequate control set-up - to date, some vehicles handled incredibly well
while others are somewhat difficult to manage.
We'll be back in a few months with more on this quirky title, but one
thing is for sure: the gang at No Cliché won't have to worry about a sea
of clones any time soon. Only time will tell if this is a good thing...
