We're told we can't pray in the schools across our land,
But when the bullets fly our officials cry for prayer on every hand.
The Governor calls for prayer for families in despair
The President will even chime in there.
We will march our kids across the street
For a solemn assembly they will meet.
Leaders of every area will invoke Gods name
But in school we must refrain.
Though each branch of government begins its day with public prayer,
In our schools its absent there.
We're told we can't pray in the schools across our land,
But when the bullets fly our officials say we can. |
