How-to1) To start, the models' hair was sprayed with a styling lotion and straightened with a large round brush and a blow-dryer, paying extra attention to sleekness near the roots.try: Solano The Original round brush (left) and Bumble and Bumble Styling Lotion (right).

2) Next, a three-inch section near the crown of the head was parted with a fine-tooth comb, drawn to the side of the head and secured with a bobby pin. try: Cricket Silkomb fine-tooth comb (right). 3) To get the soft curls, the hair was gathered in one- to three-inch sections and sprayed with a holding spray.try: Redken Styling No. 14 Inflate Volumizing Finishing Spray (left).

4) Then, each section was twisted and wound around a curling iron. try: Conair Steam 'n Shine Steam Mist Curling Iron (one and a quarter inch).'Be sure not to curl the sections too small,' warns An, which will make the curls too tight. 'The look we were after was softness.'
