BYE- BYE, BREAK OUTS!!
What goes wrong : Blackheads occur when a plugged pore is exposed to air and the gunk inside turns dark. A blackhead turns into a whitehead when oil continues to pour into the blocked pore, making it swell.
Cleansing clues: Wash face every a.m. and p.m. and scrub your body in the shower. Reach for an oil-free cleanser with salicylic acid or antibacterial ingredients.
Treatment tactics: Starting in the a.m., apply a bacteria- zapping 2.5% to 10% benzoyl peroxide product to blemishes. For nighttime, use a salicylic-acid lotion.
Prevention pointers: If your pimple prone around your period, several days before it apply nightly a pore-clearing salicylic acid or skin soothing, vitamin- infused treatment to zit zones- mainly cheeks, nose, and forehead. Wash skin in the morning.
Extra help: Skin-pampering pore strips, scrubs, steam cleaning, and masks are good for purging pores, but limit them to once a week or you could irritate skin and bring on a breakout.
