Why does it say All Text Mode?
Well, if you don't use that mode then you be in graphic mode where you are placed on an image to talk!
What is an avatar?
An avatar is the image you use that describes you to other chat members! You can move your avatar by clicking on a a part of a background or dragging the avatar with your mouse. You can not move the avatar when your painting
What is paint mode?
You can color the background by selecting the color and then using your mouse to paint the background! When your done, click paint again!
