| English Language Teaching Contacts Scheme ( ELTeCS-L ) started in Great Britain ( to visit their web site and join click HERE )after an initiative of the British Council . It was so successful that soon there were other ELTeCS nets in South East Asia, East Asia, China, Africa, India and Latin America ( to join ANY of these lists click HERE . ELTeCS Peru was started by the British Council Lima on 18 May, 2000 and since then it has grown to host a net of around 85 members ( as for 10 May, 2001 ). The main aims of ELTeCS Peru are: 1. Form a net of teachers who will exchange experiences and information related to the teaching of English; 2. Serve as a means of communication so as to disseminate news and other relevant information on ELT such as events, conferences, conventions, scholarships announcements, etc. To become a member of ELTeCS PERU, you only need to send a blank e-mail message to ELTeCS_PERU-subscribe@egroups.com or visit our web page http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/ELTeCS_PERU where you will also find an archive of all past postings to the list month by month.
