My Dad, Richard passed away on July 25, 1999 in our home of a massive heart attack. I was lucky to have this wonderful man as my father; He always said that I was his gift, I will forever think of him as mine. So to the birth mothers out there......this is from my daddy: As recently as a month ago, I had an opportunity to sit across my kitchen table and talk with Beth's biological mother. I feel like, what I told her, the adoptive parents of your child, given the opportunity, would tell you. ...... And that is this; Take a minuite and reflect on that tramatic time in your life, and remember all the sorrow that you felt despite your young age, multiply the sorrow ten-thousand fold. All of that would not touch the joy that we felt (and still feel) when they placed Beth in our arms. Find some comfort in that your decision then has given other adoptive parents a gift of life that perhaps no one else could have given them. For The Gift You Have Given, God Bless You! |
