Profession: Teacher of Geography (Secondary School in Oldham).
Interest and Hobbies: Enjoy various sports (primarily Badminton and Football), Travelling and photography. Keeping informed about Bangladeshi’s in the UK and promoting activities for Bangladeshi’s to take advantage of education and gain further cultural awareness.
Other information: I arrived in the UK at the age of 8. Have lived in Oldham since arriving in the UK. I regularly visit Bangladesh, since it is my birthplace as well as offering exciting places to visit and an opportunity to develop greater cultural awareness and learn more about Bangladesh. I spend a lot of time on voluntary activities and currently hold the position as the Chairperson of Oldham Bangladeshi Youth Association. I have in the past managed and coached several football teams and played in the Greater Manchester football league. I also play a lot of badminton and played at top level in the Oldham and Rochdale Badminton league for three years.
