| Welcome to the Episode 2 News Page. There's casting information on here, which of course count as spoilers...so if you want everything to be a surprise, don't read any more! - - More casting updates!!! Marton Csokas will be playing a planetary leader, Ayesha Dharkar will be playing a regal leader, Ronald Falk will be playing a local proprietor, Temuera Morrison will be playing a bounty hunter (we all know who I have in mind), Rena Owen (no part specified), Anthony Phelan will be playing a global director, Ian Watkin will be playing a food server, and Phoebe Yiamkiati will be playing a Jedi hopeful. Ooh, I soooo excited for Episode 2! - - Jimmy Smits has been cast as Bail Organa! Go to the official site for more information! - - Christopher Lee has been cast as a "charismatic separatist." - - Four new cast members have been announced. They include Bonnie Piesse, who will play Beru, Althea McGrath will play a Jedi academic, Matt Doran will play a young troublemaker, and Susie Porter will play a waitress. - - So far, the characters confirmed to make an appearance are as follows: Anakin Skywalker, Boba Fett, C-3PO, Jar Jar Binks, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Owen Lars, Padme, Palpatine, R2-D2, and Yoda. The confirmed cast members include Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Ahmed Best, Samuel L. Jackson, David Bowers, Rose Byrne, Joel Edgerton, Jay Laga'aia, Daniel Logan, Matt Rowan, Veronica Segura, and Leeanna Walsman. - - More casting info! Joel Edgerton has been cast as Owen Lars, the man who adopts Luke and raises him on Tatooine. - - MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CAST!!! If you don't want to know their roles, don't read any further! Actually, their roles aren't exact names, but descriptions, but anyway... Jay Laga'aia will be playing a "loyal security guard." Leeanna Walsman will be playing a "skilled bounty hunter." (Hopefully Aurra Sing and not Fett!) Rose Byrne and Veronica Segura will play handmaidens. David Bowers will play a "high-ranking Senate official." Matthew Rowan will play "an indulgent politician." Daniel Logan will play a mysterious young boy (he's thirteen). Returning crew members are casting director Robin Gurland, costume designer Trisha Biggar, production designer Gavin Bocquet, director of photography David Tattersall, stunt coordinator Nick Gillard, and design director Doug Chiang. - - Episode 2 will return to the planets of Naboo, Coruscant, and Tatooine. - - Episode 1: The Phantom Menace won an MTV Movie Award for "Best Action Sequence" with the podrace.
