| What three Pokemon do you choose from to start this game? 1. Chikorita: grass type (Most difficult to start with, becomes very powerful later) 2. Totodile: water type (Second easiest to start with, remains powerful.) 3. Cyndaquil: fire type (Easy to start with, not very powerful at higher levels.) What is the Pokegear? The Pokegear in a new addition to Pokemon, It allows you to plug in various "cards" which contain useful devices to help you in the game. You collect more cards as you go along, adding to the Pokegear's functionality. The Pokegear is nice because it doesn't take up any room in your pack. Pokegear cards: 1. Watch: Tells you the time and day of the week 2. Town Map: Shows you where you are I the game. 3. Cell Phone: Allows you to talk to your Mom, Pof. Elm and various trainers you meet, trainers will even call you to schedule a rematch! 4. Radio: Tune in and pick up useful game tips. So there is a clock in Pokemon now? Yes, and the time of day, morning, day or night effects which Pokemon are out as well as the behavior of other characters. Some events, also only take place on certain days of the week! What is with baby Pokemon? Baby Pokemon are Pre-Evolved forms of several kinds of Pokemon. You get baby Pokemon by breeding two of the same Pokemon with different genders at the Day Care Center. Dittos can also often be used in place of either the male or female. Example: Male Pikachu plus Ditto produces Pichu (Baby Pikachu.) How many Pokemon are there these days? There are now 251 Pokemon between Pokemon Gold, Silver, Red, Blue and Yellow. Does Pokemon Silver take place in the same world/region? The first half of the game takes place in a new region called Johto, the second half returns you to your old stomping grounds of Kanto, Which Pokemon are unique to the Silver Version? Phanpy, Donphan, Ledyba, Ledian, Delibird, Skarmory How is the new item management system? The pack in Pokemon Silver makes it MUCH easier to manage items than in previous versions. The Pack is divided in to separate compartments: potions & antidotes, TM's/HM's, key items (bikes, rods, etc.) and Pokeballs. Each pocket holds as many items as your old pack did so now you don't have to deposit so much stuff in the PC! Is Team Rocket back? Yes, after going underground for several years, Team Rocket is back and they are up to their usual routine of stealing, kidnapping and being mean to defenseless Pokemon! |
