| Little girl with light brown hair... |
| This poem was written by a mother for her daughter upon her 8th birthday! its about how a single parent can be just as sufficient as two-parent families! |
Little girl with light brown hair
are you so unaware
your big brown eyes so awfully sad
to people they appear quit mad
but I, your mother, love you more than
anyone I loved before
I know the truth, your wants and fears
through all your lonely seven years
If only you knew how hard I tried to take
the place of two
I hope someday the truth will show the
happiness of few
though they have the love of two
they are not as fortunate as you
remember love, I am your mother
till the day that we will die
we will have each other by and by
for you have me, and I have you
I love you like I love no other
