None of the program providers sell or share information with others. They require certain information to determine what ads you will see, where you should be notified of new developments or where to send the merchandise or checks. You will only be e:mailed if you consent during the registration process or they need to notifiy you of changes to their program.

Balances always carry forward until you achieve the required minimum payment (or the minimum you set). Some programs charge processing fees but allow you to set your minimum payment. The largest processing fees are to addresses outside the program provider's country.

When you choose a program, you may want to take "how you earn your dollars or credits" into consideration:
-all expect you to have their viewbar open and be connected to the Internet
-some expect you only to move your cursor every minute or so in order to remain active
-some expect you to visit their advertised sites periodically
-some expect you to visit different URL's every minute or so (not necessarily the advertised sites)
-some expect you to use their own browsers
-others expect you to surf along with your referrals in order to be paid for the referrals(i.e. if you surf 10 hours and your referrals surf 20 hours, then you are paid only for 10 hours of your referrals' surfing time)
-some pay flat rates but others are based on advertising revenues which will not be determined until after the month is over
-some have more levels of indirect referrals while others pay at an increasing rate at the latter level of indirect referrals
