"King Kai is a woman!?!" exclaims Goku. He explains that he has come for her training. She promptly begins to tango with him. "So this is the famous martial art of King Kai," thinks Goku. "She must be testing me...she wants me to find a weak moment and try to attack..."
Goku effortlessly flips Princess Snake to the ground. "Wow, I didn't know King Kai was so weak", he says.
Princess Snake's attendants angrily explain that she is not King Kai. Goku apologizes, and begins to leave. Princess Snake stops him and invites him to dinner. Since he hasn't eaten in 3 months (since he ate King Yemma's Fruit), he agrees.
As the attendants prepare the meal for their guest, Princess Snake says she wants them to see to it that Goku doesn't leave. They decide to put some "sleepy grass" in Goku's soup to knock him out. Princess Snake leaves them to set the plan into motion.
It's raining in the wilderness where Gohan is stranded, so he sits working on algebra problems in his cave. He remembers that his mother told him that solving algebra helps him to solve bigger problems in life, and he decides that he needs to figure out a way to get back home.
Outside, Piccolo splits himself in two in order to spar with himself. The doppelgangers, being equally matched, exchange blows and energy blasts for some time, and never do any damage. Eventually they merge back together and leave to check on Gohan.
Kami makes a speech to the Z-fighters: "You all know the situation. Each of you has been chosen because each of you has a gift that can help save the earth. Krillin, you've trained extensively with Goku. Tien, your multi-form technique is essential. Yamcha, your energy manipulating techniques are admirable, as are yours, Chaozu. And yes, even you, Yajirobe, have a contribution to make to this group. So don't worry who the greater among you is. Drop your differences. Feel the approaching force. Know that it is greater than any you have ever encountered!"
Goku's dinner is served. Princess Snake and her attendants watch in astonishment as Goku shovels it in. Seeing that he has eaten all of the food in a matter of moments and shows no sign of drowsiness, Princess Snake lets Goku eat her share. He packs it in easily, as well. Thanking them for the dinner, he gets up to leave. They ask him if he would like to stay for the night, and Goku says that he's not really sleepy. They ask him to stay for desert. He says that he really must be going. Thinking quickly, they tell him that he needs a bath, because King Kai doesn't like dirty people. "I guess I am a little smelly, I'd better wash up," says Goku.
Princess Snake's bath is actually a hot spring. The temperature is 300 degrees, but Goku isn't phased. After his refreshing bath, Goku starts to leave, and is accosted again by Princess Snake's attendants. "Please, my family and everyone on Earth are counting on me!"
The convice him to perform a dance before he leaves.
As Goku watches the hypnotizing performance, they give him a glass of juice. It has enough "Sleepy Grass" in it to knock out an elephant this time. Goku guzzles it down in one gulp. Slowly but surely, the drug begins to take effect. Goku falls asleep.
They bring in the "Dream Mirror" to see what he is dreaming of, and see a vision of ChiChi and Gohan. "This one's too devoted to his family to tame, so I'll just eat him" says Princess Snake in a very matter of fact way. The visages of her and her attendants change into evil, toothy grins.
Goku has a nightmare in which Vegita and Nappa walk into his house and approach ChiChi and Gohan while he is gone. He awakes with a start to find the evil face of Princess Snake looming over him, which quickly turns back to her more congenial look. The Sleepy Grass has worn off in a matter of moments. As Goku tries to leave yet again, Princess Snake says that ChiChi and Gohan are surely fine. When Goku asks how she knows their names, she says he said it over dinner. "No I didn't! I would have remembered!"
With that, Princess Snake no longer tries to conseal her visage. "I was unable to fool your heart, but were your eyes deceived?" Suddenly, the Princess and her attendants disappear into thin air. The walls of the room begin to shift and roll, and Goku realizes that he has been in the stomach of a snake this entire time! Digestive acids begin to burn his clothes, and he flies as fast as he can out of the snake's mouth. The snake begins to chase him, and breathes fire on him. "All Right, she's asking for it! Ka....Me......wait! I can't do that! She gave me that nice dinner!" Goku then gets an idea. He flies around and around until the snake becomes tangled up in itself. Goku waves goodbye, and continues on his way.
Back on Earth, the fighters begin their training.
Gohan misses home very much. One day, he escapes into the sea with his boat he made. He is caught in a storm and found on shore by two orphans. When he wakes up he is an aboned area were orphans lived. The police come and try to take the kids to a foster home, but they always escape. One day they come and capture the kids. Pegero takes Gohan to his home. Gohan is running and finally reaches his home. He realizes he can't go back because he has to save the world. GOhan runs away saying "Don't worry mom, I'll be back home." Chi Chi somehow receives this message telepathically due to Gohan's Saiyan powers. Gohan meets Piccolo again and Piccolo asks him if he's ready to continue their training. Gohan agrees and goes back with Piccolo.
After half a year of overcoming emotional and physical hardship, Gohan is finally being
trained by Piccolo. Meanwhile, up at Kami palace, Krillin and the remaining Z Fighters
are growing impatient with Kami, who after two months has still not given any lessons to
his pupils. Mister Popo then takes everyone (except Yajirobe) on a mental combat
simulation, using an old and mysterious mechanism inside the palace. There, in the middle of a long-since ruined Saiyan city, Tien and the others are attacked by two ferocious Saiyan warriors! Chao zu is the first to get beat up. Then Krillin is beat up. Then it’s Tien and Yamcha vs the saiyans, but they have no chance of winning and lose. Returning to the present, Kami tells the team that their opponents were only half as strong as genuine Saiyans! But rather than being frightened off by this revelation, the prospects of facing such incredible warriors renews the convictions of our heroes to fight!
