Extract: Dragonball is the masterful creation of Akira Toriyama, Japan's most famous
and popular artist. Dragonball is the story of Goku, a brave, innocent young boy with
incredible powers who is plunged into a mystical adventure in exotic lands with noble
warriors, shape changing monster, armies of ruthless villains and a kooky old wise
man. Saddled with a loud, pushy, teenage girl-companion named Bulma who thinks
nagging is something that just has to be done, Goku is thrust wide-eyed into a place
where magical powers and futuristic technology exists side by side. Dragonball is the
inescapable battle of good versus evil, right versus wrong, and pure hearts versus empty
souls. It's the continuing saga of the quest for fervent dreams, the realization of secret
innermost wishes and the insatiable hunger for a ham sandwich.
Episode 1 Secret of the Dragonball
It starts out with the narrator saying "Far across the sea, in a remote and enchanted
land, there lived in harmony among the dangers and beauties of the region and old master
who found a very special boy abandoned in the wild, who he raised as his own grandson.
The old master marveled as the power of light grew strongly within this young boy. Now
the boy known as Goku is on his own and is the sole guardian of his grandfathers
most mystical possession." Goku is training and his grandfather tells him his spirit will
be with him forever. Goku is rolling on a log with a gigantic saw. He sees some
monkeys and smiles and says "Nice day" and rolls along. Goku does some flips on the log
and laughs. He prepares himself to pick up a gigantic log. He throws it up in the air
and punches it and it is stacked up nicely. Goku gets hungry. Meanwhile, Bulma is
riding in her motorcycle and she gets out and checks her bleeper. It locates a Dragonball
nearby. She drives off. Goku puts on his power pole and says to the4 star Dragonball
"Please bring me luck grandfather." The ball glows. Goku hops through the trees. He
hangs upside down eating an apple. He finishes it and throws it down. It hits a
sabertooth tiger's head. It gets mad. It jumps at Goku, but Goku dodges it. Then runs
away from him smiling. He tricks the tiger into thinking he is at the corner of a cliff.
Then the tiger falls off the cliff. Goku falls in the river. Then he puts his tail in the water.
A big fish sees it. It swims towards Goku's tail. It is about to bite it, when Goku moves
and kicks the fish's head. Goku captures the fish.
While he is dragging it home, Bulma accidentally hits him whit her motorcycle. Goku is
hit back into a tree. Bulma says she hit a 6 foot fish. Goku gets mad and picks up the car
with his bare hands and throws it on it's side. He takes out his power pole. Bulma comes
out and says she's a human. She gets out of her car. Goku says "Stay right there!" Goku
walks around her and says "I don't know, you kind of look different to me." She smiles
and says she's a girl. Goku lifts up Bulma's skirt. She gets mad. Goku asks why she
doesn't have a tail. She thinks Goku is a weirdo. Goku asks how she caught this crazy
monster (her car). Bulma says it's a car. Bulma tells Goku he is awfully strong for a kid.
Goku says it's because his grandpa trained him. Goku invites Bulma to go to his house.
While the are walking home, Goku tells Bulma his name. Bulma tells Goku her name.
Goku starts to laugh when he hears that name. Bulma gets mad and says Goku sounds
like go poo.
When they reach the house, Goku opens the door. The 4 star Dragonball begins to glow.
Bulma smiles and picks it up. Goku tells her to give back his grandpa. Bulma asks "You
think this is your grandpa?" Goku says every time the ball shines, he is trying to talk to
Goku. Bulma pulls out the 2 and 5 star Dragonball. She says there are seven in all. She
puts them on the table along with Goku's ball and the three balls start to glow. Bulma
says if the balls ever fell into the wrong hands, the world they both know will be
destroyed. Meanwhile, Pilaf, Mai, and Shao are looking for the dragonballs and find one
in a place where there are a lot of guards standing next to there dead king. The guards
are skeletons. Pilaf gets the one star Dragonball and a skeleton falls on him. Pilaf says
"I'm ready to make my wish." Mai says "Sir, You have one Dragonball yes, but it is
useless without the rest of them. There are seven dragonballs. You must unite all of
them before their magic is released into the sky and the dragon will appear to grant you a
wish." Pilaf imagines himself being King of the world. Pilaf starts to laugh.
Meanwhile, Bulma has just finished explaining about the dragonballs to Goku. Goku
asks Bulma what she is going to wish for, but she doesn't tell him and she asks for Goku's
Dragonball. Goku says his grandpa gave it him to remember him by. Bulma says she'll
take a picture of the ball and give it to Goku. Goku sticks his tongue out at her. Bulma
says they can be partners and find the dragonballs together and Goku’s grandpa would be
proud of him learning all sorts of new things about the world. Goku smiles. Bulma tells
him about the sea and the many monsters they will fight, and she can just picture it now.
Goku says it sounds like a lot of fun and he's in. Goku agrees to be partners, but he gets
to keep his grandfathers ball. Bulma agrees and thinks to herself that Goku will be her
bodyguard while she searches for the dragonballs to wish for the perfect boyfriend. They
walk out of Goku's house. Goku asks how are they going to find the dragonballs. Bulma
pulls out her dragon radar "Bleeper", and tells him she uses it to find the dragonballs.
Bulma pulls out Dino Capsule 9 and throws it and it turns into a motorcycle. Goku says I
know about girls, girls are witches and that's witchcraft. Bulma tells Goku it's not
witchcraft, everyone has one to travel. Goku pokes the motorcycle with his power pole.
He gets on the cycle. While Bulma drives, Goku laughs because he thinks it's so much
fun. Bulma tells Goku to stop squeezing her. Bulma stops and says she needs a pit stop.
Goku says he'll go with her. She runs behind a rock and Goku asks what a pit stop
means. Then he wonders why can't she do it right there.
Bulma tells Goku to come quick. A pterodactyl has Bulma. He asks who Goku is. Goku
says "I'm Goku, are you one of Bulma's friends?" He wraps his tail around Bulma to
carry her. He pulls out a rope and ties Goku to a tree. Then he flies off laughing. Bulma
tells Goku to get her down. Goku unties himself with ease and goes in Bulma
motorcycle. He turns it on. He races after Bulma. The motorcycle flies up and Goku
jumps up, but can't reach Bulma. He takes out his power pole and says "Power pole
extend!" and it hits the monster on the back of it's head. Bulma falls. Goku throws his
pole at Bulma and lands safely on the ground. Bulma is tuck on the side of a cliff
hanging from Goku's pole, wetting her pants. After that, they both ride off searching for
the dragonballs.
Episode 2 The Emperors Quest
Goku and Bulma are still riding on her
motorcycle. Goku asks to stop for a bowl of frog soup. They decide to call it a night.
Goku says "I don't like those magic witch bombs." Bulma throws one on the ground and
it turns into a house. Goku pulls out his pole and tells Bulma to get away, and he can
beat the big beetle monster. Bulma tells Goku it's a house. She turns the lights on. Goku
says she made light, even though it's dark outside. Goku looks around and Bulma turns
on the TV. She laughs. A man is playing the guitar, and Goku thinks the man in there is
being tortured. She changes the channel to a love scene. The man is about to kiss the girl
and Bulma is waiting for it. Then Goku grabs the "magic buttons" and changes the
channel to a monster shooting fire at the screen and Bulma falls down. Goku laughs.
Goku asks if she's hungry because she is drooling. Bulma tells Goku he needs a bath and
Goku asks what's a bath. Goku walks into the bathroom naked, and Bulma tells him to
cover up his front. Goku puts the towel over his face. Bulma puts shampoo on Goku’s
head. Bulma pulls on Goku’s tail. Goku grabs the sponge with his tail and shrubs his
own back. Bulma screams when she finds out the tail is real.
She asks Goku why he has a tail and he says all boys have a tail. Bulma starts to think
that because she's never seen a boy naked before. Goku says his grandpa never had a tail.
Bulma tells Goku normal people, don't have tails. Goku dries of and puts his clothes
back on. Bulma takes a bubble bath. While she is relaxing, she sees Goku standing right
next to her. she asks him what he is doing. Goku tells her since she doesn't have a tail, to
scrub her back, he was going to help her. Goku tells Bulma she must be ashamed of not
having a tail. She tells him to beat it. She then chases him out of the bathroom throwing
things from the bathroom at Goku. The shampoo hits his head. After that, Goku says
he's starving. Meanwhile, Pilaf asks Shao if he brang him a Dragonball. Pilaf is eating,
and he farts. He tells Shao not to tell anyone. Shao says he won't. Pilaf presses a button
and four hands come and grabs Shao's legs and arms. Pilaf is about to saw him in half,
when Shao says he "broke wind". Mai comes in and tells Pilaf she has some information
about a Dragonball is scull valley. She's not sure if it is Dragonball or not, but someone
saw a strange glow over there.
Meanwhile, Goku is eating bread and he says he doesn't like it. He goes outside to catch
some real food. Goku jumps from tree branch to tree branch carrying a centipede for
dinner. He looks for something bigger to eat. He looks up to see Shao and Mai riding in
a plane. Goku thinks it's a big bird. They land the plane and get out. They search
through a grave yard of skeletons for the ball. Goku confronts them and points at the
plane and says he going to take it home for dinner. Then there are red eyes all around
them. A pack of viscous wolves come out. Shao and Mai realize it was the glow of the
red eyes and not the glow of a Dragonball. The wolves attack Goku. Goku easily
punches, kicks, and steps on the wolves head. Then he hits the wolves chasing Shao and
Mai with his power pole. The two get into their plane and start the engine. Goku says
his birdie is getting away. Goku runs after it with about 5 wolves on him. He says
“Power Pole Extend” He flies up and kicks the side of the plane. If falls down and
blows up. Shao and Mai are stuck in a tree. Goku comes home, he shows Bulma the
centipede he has for supper and the wolf at the end of his power pole for dessert. She
screams and closes the door. Goku roasts his two items and eats them. Goku jumps on
Bulma’s bed saying over and over “I’m happy because I’m full again.” Bulma asks Goku
about his parents. Goku says he doesn’t know because his grandpa found him on a
mountain side when he was a baby. Bulma tells Goku that some dogs get their tails cut
off. Goku tells her “you shouldn’t of let them do that to you Bulma, your no dog.”
Bulma gets mad, but Goku is asleep.
The next morning, while Bulma is getting ready, Goku tells her she’s moving so slow
she’ll turn into a turtle. Goku goes outside to exercise. He picks up a boulder and
destroys it. He goes to pick up another boulder, but it is really a giant turtle. Goku
thinks Bulma really did turn into a turtle. Bulma walks outside. The turtle asks for some
salt water. Bulma gives it to him in a bucket. he drinks it. The turtle says he’s lost and
looking for the sea. Goku carries the turtle on his back and tells Bulma he is going to the
sea. Bulma says she doesn’t want to go, and Goku walks off. Then Bulma sees a
dinosaur and rides after Goku.
Episode 3 The Nimbus Cloud of Roshi
Goku is walking with the turtle on his back and Bulma is riding along. Goku says he's
getting hungry. Turtle says "You know, I was thinking about this and this is probably the
nicest thing anybody has ever done for me." Goku tells him it's all right and it's not big
deal. Bulma stops and checks her map and the sea is only 2 more miles away.
Meanwhile, A giant bear-monster is watching them, waiting to eat them. He confronts
them and tells them to give the turtle to him. Bulma tries to get Goku to give the monster
the turtle, but Goku tells her he's not giving away his new friend. The monster takes out
his sword, and says "Alright then, I'll have you all." Bulma turns around and rides away.
Goku tells Tortoise he better get off his back. The monster swipes at Goku, but Goku
jumps back. Turtle gets off Goku and runs. The monster tells Goku "I eat punks like you
for breakfast." He tries to stab Goku. Goku moves back laughing. He tries to swipe
Goku, but Goku jumps up. Then he tries to slice Goku in half, but Goku moves to his
right. The tries to cut Goku. Goku jumps up and says "missed me!" He lands behind
the monster. Bulma says "Let's beat it!” The monster tries to swipe Goku, but Goku
jumps on his sword. Then he jumps on the monsters nose and punches it's forehead. The
monster falls down and Goku jumps down smiling, and makes a peace sign. Goku asks
tortoise if he's okay. Tortoise says "I'm fine thanks to you." Goku comments on how
creatures like to eat Totuieses. Tortoise says he's not good to eat. Goku puts him on his
back and says he doesn't look tasty to him anyway. Goku runs forward, and Bulma
follows.
They make it to the sea and Goku says "It's the biggest river, I've ever seen." Tortoise
tells them to stay there and he swims back into the ocean. Goku tastes the water, and
says it's salty. Meanwhile, Emperor Pilaf is riding on a white horse through a village, the
villagers are praising him. He goes into his palace and smile holding the one star
dragonball. Pilaf gets a call that an old master named Roshi has another dragonball. The
three of them set out for Roshi's Island in the sea. Meanwhile, Tortoise comes back with
and old funky wise man on top of him. It's his master. His name is Master Roshi, and he
thanks them for saving his Tortoise. Roshi points his stick out and commands his magic
carpet to come. Goku asks what a magic carpet is. Tortoise tells Roshi he left it at the
dryers. Then Roshi says "Come flying Nimbus!" A yellow magical cloud comes. Goku
goes around it and asks if he can have a taste. Roshi tells Goku to not eat it, but to ride
on it. Roshi says only if you are good and pure of heart you can ride the flying Nimbus.
Roshi tries to jump on it, but goes through it. Bulma laughs at him. Goku jumps on it
and starts to laugh.
Meanwhile, Shao, Mai, and Pilaf land on Roshi's Island and discover he is not there.
They sneak in through the window and search the house. Meanwhile, Goku is having
fun, riding across the sea on Nimbus. He rides upside-down. He thanks Roshi. Bulma
asks for something, and Roshi asks Tortoise if she helped him, and he said only the boy.
Bulma tells him she gave him the salt water. Roshi tells Bulma, if she can get him a date
with an older woman, she can have something. Tortoise convinces Roshi, to forget about
the date. Bulma sees, that Roshi is wearing the 3 star dragonball around his neck. Bulma
asks for it. Roshi gives her the ball, and they leave. While Roshi is riding along on
Tortoise he thinks that giving Bulma the dragonball, he changed the world. Goku and
Bulma go back to the capsule house. Bulma discovers that there are ants all around
them. Goku tells her the ants are for his 2 snacks. A lizard and a frog. Meanwhile, Pilaf
and co. have ransacked Roshi's house. Pilaf puts a knife up to an alligator with sun
glasses and demands to know where Roshi is. Roshi comes. They asks for the
dragonball, Roshi tells them he just gave it away to a young girl. Pilaf and co., rush into
their plane and turn it into a water craft. The start the engine. Before they can start
moving, they ask Roshi is he can push the craft. Roshi pokes a hole in the side and
pushes it. When they start moving, water starts to come in through the hole. Bulma turns
her house, back into a capsule. Bulma tries to jump on Nimbus, but goes through, and
gets mad. Goku rides ahead, and Bulma follows. Mai starts to realize they are sinking,
and the craft sinks. Pilaf's hat goes to the top of the water.
Episode 4 Oolong the Terrible
Goku flies ahead on Nimbus, and Bulma tells Goku to wait up. they are searching for
their 5th dragonball. Bulma is distracted by Goku flying on Nimbus and falls off her
motorcycle. The 3 star dragonball hits the ground. It starts to glow, and Goku is amazed.
Bulma says that, that means the 5th ball is near. Goku points towards and village and
suggest that's it's in one of those houses over there. Bulma says "Good idea." when the
arrive there, the town is deserted. No one is outside, it's like the town is dead. Bulma
checks her bleeper, and it says a dragonball is nearby. Goku says someone is there,
because he can feel it. Bulma says "It's like a ghost town." The two go through the town
yelling hello. Goku says he spotted someone peeking at them through a window. Goku
jumps off Nimbus and lands on the ground. He knocks on a door that says "Sherman
Priest." No one answers, so Goku punches a whole through the door and opens the door.
A man jumps out holding an ax, and hits Goku over the head with it. The ax breaks on
impact. A huge bump sprouts out from Goku's head. Bulma screams, and the man says
"Oh my, it's just like I feared." A young girl, with a bandanna and a feather in it pops up
from behind a table. Goku pulls out his power pole. The man says please don't hurt me
Mr. Oolong, it's just that I'd rather die, than you take my daughter. Goku says his name is
Goku and wants to know who is Oolong. The townspeople start to come out of their
homes. The mans daughter tells him that Goku, is not Oolong. Bulma asks the man if he
always greets people with an ax. The man says he thought Goku was Oolong, and he was
protecting his daughter because oolong likes to steal little girls. Goku tells her she is
pretty, for a girl. And also, it is a shame Bulma doesn't look like her. Bulma walks over,
and hit Goku upside the head. Bulma tell "Dog Breath" she is good looking too. Bulma
asks if Oolong is a cutie, and the townspeople gasp and the little girl runs into her fathers
arms. The man tells them Oolong is their worst nightmare, and has the power to change
into any creature it wants to, and steals pretty girls, and worst of all, he just found out
Oolong is coming to marry his daughter Pocawatha.
He has a flash back of Oolong (who looks like a giant red caveman monster with horns
and a club) telling him to honor his house by marrying his daughter, and to pack her bags.
He walks away laughing, and stepping on a building. Goku calls Oolong a bully, and
suggests they trap him when he comes back. The man (Sherman Priest) tells Goku
Oolong will crush Goku like an ant. The he asks them why have they come there. Bulma
pulls out and dragonball, and says they are looking for something that looks like that. An
old lady has it, and brings it out, it's the six star dragonball. Bulma asks her, if they got
rid of oolong, saved the girls, and restore the village back to peace once again, that they
could have the dragonball. The townspeople gasp. The old lady asks them if they expect
her to believe they can over come the mighty Oolong. Bulma tells them, they have
nothing to lose. Goku says to the lady "How come your so wrinkly?" Bulma hits him on
the head. Bulma tells them that Goku is like a stick of dynamite. Sherman Priest asks
Goku if he would for give him for him clobbering Goku. Another man says "There is a
legend of a boy that would save our village from bondage." |
