| THE CROSS THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS [AN EVERYDAY MEANING!!" |

THE GIFT OF LOVE THE GIFT OF HOPE AND THE GIFT OF FAITH To many christmas seems to be a time of giving ,christmas trees, and light and family and love.And yes these things are so important to us and our families,which rightfully should be so. However there is a great and beautiful reason for what we feel and share ,too The Holy bible speaks of this beautiful time of celebration over and over. I would like to share this story in the eyes of the way a child would perceive this. a true story to always be remembered. Mary and Joseph were about to have a baby. An angel of the Lord told them that this baby would be the Son of God.[Joseph was a wise and devout man and while he thought on these things and did not want to expose mary for this] the angel had appeared unto him in a dream saying:Joseph,thou son of David,fear not to take unto mary to be your wife,for that which is conceived of her is of The Holy Ghost.And she shall bring forth a son and he shall be called Jesus:for He shall save his people from their sins. All this had to be done to fulfill what the prophet isiah had spoken of many years before:BEHOLD,A VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD,AND SHALL BRING FORTH A SON ,AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME :EM-MAN!-UEL,which means when interpreted is, God With Us. Then Joseph did as the angel had told Him and took Mary for his wife and he knew her not[did not go near her]till she had brought forth her first born Son, and he called His name Jesus. Before the birth though Mary and Joseph had to take a trip to bethlehem .you see am angel had appeared to mary too [luke 1 verses 26-35]in the city of Galilee, named,Nazareth.and said; "Behold mary,THOU HAS FOUND FAVOR WITH GOD" [mary was frightened and troubled] THE ANGEL SAID"THOU SHALL CONCEIVE IN THY WOMB AND BRING FORTH A SON AND HE SHALL BE CALLED JESUS.HE SHALL BE GREAT AND CALLED THE SON OF THE MOST HIGHEST,AND THE LORD GOD SHALL GIVE UNTO HIM THE THRONE OF HIS FATHER DAVID.AND HE WILL REIGN OVER THE HOUSE OF JACOB FOREVER,AND OF HIS KINGDOM THERE SHALL BE NO END." Mary spoke and said how can this be?i do not know any man[meaning-no intimacy with any-man] The angel answered and said" BEHOLD THE HOLY GHOST SHALL COME UPON THEE,AND THE POWER OF THE MOST HIGHEST SHALL OVER SHADOW THEE,THEREFORE THAT HOLY THING WHICH SHALL BE BORN OF THEE,SHALL BE CALLED THE SON OF GOD[mathew 1 verse20 and mathew 14 verse 33] GETTING BACK TO THE TRIP TO BETHLEHEM,CESAR AUGUSTUS PASSED A DECREE THAT THE whole world should be taxed. so joseph took mary and went Judae-a unto the city of David. called Bethlehem,because he was of the house and lineage of David you see,augustus was taxing everyone to there own city. so thats why joseph had to go. But when they got to bethlehem there was no room at the inn, So mary and Joseph stayed at a stable where the baby Jesus was born.Mary wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid baby Jesus in a manger.[mathew 1-verse 25] Now in the same country there were shephards staying in the field,keeping watch over the flock by night.And an angel of the Lord came upon them,and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were frightened.and the angel said, FEAR NOT FOR I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY,WHICH SHALL BE TO ALL PEOPLE. FOR UNTO YOU IS BORN THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOUR WHICH IS CHRIST THE LORD.[philipians2verse11] AND THIS SHALL BE A SIGN UNTO YOU " YOU SHALL SEE THE BABE WRAPPED IN SWADDLING CLOTHES,LYING IN A MANGER. [1st samuel 2 verse34] And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host,praising God, and saying,"GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST,AND ON EARTH PEACE,"GOODWILL TOWARD MEN"[john3 verse 16] NOTE:.... Folks this is where I would like to take a moment and say is this not what we , all need ? now more than ever?peace on this earth and devine help from above? yes there are many disagreements on many things but one thing we do know, no matter who we are or where we come from this mortal body [the flesh] does not live forever. but the question is where do we spend eternity/ have you ever asked yourself where do i go when i die or what is the unknown like? of course each and everyone has asked this at one time or another! isn;t it better to know that there is something or should i say someone to cling to a hope to hold onto for the future?untill Jesus there was no life after death now we have life through the cross Yes Jesus suffered for us and died but He rose again .He was crucified died rose and is alive and because He lives we can too. In these dark days and times we need hope and help and love. I can;t speak for you or as some say we shove God down your throats.[ which is silly anyway as God gave us all a free will when we were born] although sometimes it is the will that gets us in trouble[like the mess the the world is in today . NOTE But you know there is hope wont you think about it at least and read the word, pray and ask Our Father in heaven what is right and to reveal His word to us as we read it? i promise you this much if your sincere ,He will reveal it. and remember God loves you and even while we were yet sinners through adam and eve who brought death on mankind remember it is a man who was without sin and knew no sin [THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD WHO BECAME FLESH. A HOLY AND PURE SON OF GOD WHO CAME TO SUFFER PAIN AND AGONY FOR US ON THAT OLD RUGGED CROSS. MAKE NO MISTAKE HE SUFFERED PAIN.AND ASK YOURSELF WHAT KIND OF LOVE IS THIS? THAT OUR GOD WOULD SEND HIS ONLY SON INTO THIS WORLD FULL OF EVIL AND CORRUPTION TO SAVE US AND GIVE US ETERNAL LIFE FOREVER AND TO LIVE WITH HIM FOREVER AND EVER? OUR GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE MERCY AND GRACE. THATS WHERE OUR HOPE LIES IN THESE TIMES SO WHEN WE CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR PLEASE THINK BACK TO THE YEAR PASSING AND ASK OURSELVES ISN;T THE WORD ITSELF.[ .CHRIST-MAS] CHRIST IN? LETS REMEMBER THE CROSS AS WELL AND AS OUR FAMILIES WHO LAID DOWN THERE LIVES TO RENEW OUR FAITH .AND THE BOYS FIGHTING OVER SEAS NOW LAYING THERE LIFES DOWN FOR OUR FREEDOM THIS CHRISTMAS, REMEMBER THE ONE WHO GAVE US THE ETERNAL GIFT OF LIFE." FOR WHO SO EVER WILL CAN COME TO HIM. AS FREELY AS HE GAVE AND LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR US [JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD" .[HE COULD HAVE CALLED 10,0000 ANGELS BUT HE DIED FOR US AND PAID A DEBT WE COULD NEVER PAY] LET US FREELY RECEIVE AND WE THEN CAN FREELY GIVE THE TRUE GIFT OF : CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR LOVED ONES . KNOWING ALL HAVE SINNED ALL OF US AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD[WE WERE BORN INTO SIN] BUT WE HAVE THE FREE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE Jesus christ the alpha and omega the begining and the end the bright and morning star the great I am the sweet rose of sharon. who is standing at the door of your heart and saying: BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR OF YOUR HEART AND KNOCK , IF ANYONE WILL, LET HIM OPEN THE DOOR,AND I WILL COME IN AND I WILL SUPP WITH HIM AND HE WITH ME" . He calls so sweet and tender and says give me your heart and i will come into your life and help thee in all areas of life> He also is saying I have come to give thee life and even more abundently. yes my friend these were all scriptures paraphrased but if your willing, and its your free will your free choice He will make you new and everything in the past is forgiven by Him. but you must mean this to ask forgiveness between you and God only. for only He knows the heart of man!!
