Lenny Kravitz is putting the final touches on his upcoming "Greatest Hits" compilation and has recorded a new song, titled "Again," that will be included on the album when it arrives in stores on October 24.
Kravitz is currently weeding through tracks from his first five studio albums, dating back to his 1989 debut, "Let Love Rule," for songs to include on the "Greatest Hits" record, which he said will likely include both commercially released singles as well as concert favorites.
On Wednesday, Kravitz was shooting the promotional pictures for the album cover with photographer Mark Seliger in New York City when he took time out to talk with MTV News about the "Again" track.
"It's a song I was writing in the studio about a month ago," Kravitz said. "[It's] something I just recorded. It's very fresh, and it's a love song. It's a song about connections and spiritual connections with other human beings.
Taking crossover marketing to new heights, Lenny Kravitz will roll out the first video from his upcoming greatest hits collection on both MTV.com and VH1.com starting on Friday.
Kravitz hooked up with director Paul Hunter last month to shoot a clip for "Again," the only new track carried on his upcoming "Greatest Hits" offering, which arrives on October 24. The clip finds Kravitz and actress Gina Gershon mired in a love triangle, and will be available for download via the Microsoft Windows Media Player on both sites starting at 3 p.m. |
