A Brief History
The Church is situated in the West London Borough of Hillingdon. The nearest tube station is Ruislip Manor.
The Church itself was designed by N. F. Cachemaille, FRIB. The site was bought with money from the sale of St Mary's Church, Charing Cross Road; the Church was built with money from the sale of land on which another recently demolished Church once stood, St.Paul's, Bunhill Road ,hence the dedication of our Church to St Paul. The foundation stone was laid on July July 18th, 1936 by the Dean of Windsor and then the consecration by the Bishop of London A. F. Winnington Ingram took place on November 28th of the same year . |
