Coruscant

Coruscant has always been the central system in the galaxy no matter who is ruling. For thousands of millenia, the Old Republic was based on this planet. Senate chambers, Jedi Council, Presiden's house, everything. When the Empire took over they renamed it Imperial City. When Rouge Squadron took it back over, it became Coruscant again. Up until current time, in the midst of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, it is still called Coruscant, ruled by the New Republic.

Dantooine

Dantooine is inhabited b the Dantari, the local species. When Corran Horn helped move refugees there, AT-AT's killed all of the colonists and several Dantari. The Dantari now worship the storntroopers and AT-AT's because they believe they are gods. There was once a Rebel base here but it was fled. Later, Leia Organa Solo hid refugeees there, but they were found by the Vong. The defense forces, led by Luke Skywalker and Anakin Solo, drove the Vong back and saved the refugees.

Corellia

Corellia is a largely populated planet in the same star system as Drall and Selonia. The capital, Coronet, has over 18 million people in it. Correllians are famous for getting out of tough situatuions when the odds go against them. Never talk to the Correllians about odds!!!!!!!!!!!! Ruled by a Diktat for over a millenia, Corellia has never joined the Empire or the New Republic. No one believes, either, that they will join the Yuuzhan Vong if they become the predominant government in the galaxy.They plan to use Centerpoint Station, a deadly weapon that once brought Correlia, Drall and Selonia here, to fend off the Vong. Many famous pilots and heroes come from Corellia such as Han Solo, Corran Horn, Mirax Terrik and Booster Terrik.

Yavin 4

Yavin 4 was once the Rebellion base around the time of the destruction of the first death star. Yavin 4 is the fourth moon from the giant sun called Yavin. It is the second most famous sun, second only to Tattoine's twin suns. Later Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy was established there. Students helped defeat Exar Kun, an evil Sith who was there only in spirit. The academy was destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong and Peace brigade when Tvasong Lah asked for all the heads of the Jedi.

Fondor

Fondor used to be a small, out of the way, planet which bordered on the Colonies and the Deep Core. But as the centuries past Fondor scientists made huge discoveries first, such as shielding on ships and hyperspace travel. Fondor was the first planet to reach another planet. Fondor reached their neigbors, Duros and New Plympto, fairly quickly. So was it that the Fondor shipyards were created there about 10,000 years before the battle of Endor. The planet was never attacked until the Yuuzhan Vong attacked in their galactic wide masquerade. The New Republic forces were dwindling quickly during the battle until Thrakan Sal Solo shot Centerpoint Station which destroyed half of the New Republic's fleet and more than half of the Vong's fleet. The Vong were sent fleeing away, and the New Republic kept control of their prescios shipyards.

Tattoine

This desert planet was called home by many famous heroes including Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, Biggs and Gavin Darklighter and C-3PO. Moisture vaporators farm for water while the hunting Jawas and Sand People lurk in the shadows. A few spaceports, including Anchorhead and Mos Eisley are located in the central part.

Kasshyk

This planet is populated by the mammoth wookies, and it was the home of Chewbacca. The wookies live in huge tree houses which they hand built. Kasshyk is as teemed with life as Yavin 4 is and no area of the entire planet has been built upon with any kind of advanced technology.

Gyndine

This planet was a huge industrial center for the imperial remnant until the Yuuzhan Vong took it over. They destroyed the planet's mommoth cities and turned them into coralskipper factories. This is where Wurth Skidder was captured and eventually died attempting to save the refugees of Gyndine. Wurth was a Jedi Knight, and although he followed Kyp Durron and his clan of Jedi for a while, nothing would stop him from trying to rescue his home planet.

Yag'dhul

This planet is more known for it's huge space station built by rebels during the galactic civil war. The planet itself is populated by the Givin, species who can live for a short time in the vaccum of space. They adopted to it, so that they could have time to get out of the vaccuum.

Hoth

Hoth is an ice-planet only minutes away from the Bespin system and the Hoth asteroid belt, one of the most deadly in the galaxy. Hoth was occupied by the Rebels during the Galactic Civil War and a huge battle took place there. Imperials drove the Rebels away winning a decisive victory. The base there was abandoned and the planet hasn't been touched since.

Mon Calamari

Home to the fish species of the Mon Calamari, this planet is out of the way. There are great shipyards there, created by Admiral Ackbar and headed by him until he retired shortly before the Vong invasion. Mon Calamari continues to build ships comparible to the great Kuat drive yards, serving the New Republic with pride.

Bimmisari

A small planet on the outer rim, Bimmisari was never a planet of any consequence until the vong invasion when Nom Anor fought there, turning the rebels against the republic of Bimmisari.

Sullust

The home of the mouse like species of the Sullustans, this planet was extremely loyal to the Rebel Alliance. Nien Numb and Aril Numb are both members of this species and grew up on this planet. The Rebel fleet massed here before the Battle Of Endor.

Endor

The planet where the Death Star's sheild generator was on, it's inhabitants are ewoks. After the Sheild Generator was blown up by Rebels, Ewoks were welcomed into the Rebel Alliance with open arms.

Kuat

Home of the famous shipyards, Kuat was neutral in the Galactic Civil War but signed up with the Republic before the vong crisis.

New Plypmto

This small planet was destroyed utterly by the Yuuzhan Vong. However, Alema Rarr snuck onto it as it was dying and saved thousands of refugees.

Talflagio

Small planet that was threatened during the Vong crisis because it took in so many refugees. Luke Skywalker led a strike force which saved the condemned planet.

Myrkr

A large planet with huge metal alloy deposits on the ground, Myrkr is home to many smuggler bases since they cannot be detected with all the metal. Talon Karrde once had a base here. This planet is also home to yslarmi and vornskrs, beasts which use the force to hunt and repel the force to save themselves, respectively. The Vong took over this planet and bred voxyn here. Jacen Solo killed the voxyn queen on a Jedi led mission here. Anakin Solo led the mission and died here in a critical diversion. Jacen was then captured after he killed the voxyn queen...it has been overrun by Vong biotechnology.
