| DARK TIDE I : ONSLAUGHT By Michael A. Stackpole This dark tide series was special because it was the exit of Stackpole from the Star Wars Universe. The Two Dark Tide books were the last star wars books he wrote. Onslaught had mostly everyone recovering from Vector Prime and the initial Vong attack. Several more worldships arrive and the Vong bring several planets under their gasp within days. Corran and Ganner rescue scientists on one captured planet, while Jacen and Luke survey the wreckage on Belkadan. They all meet back up on Dantooine where Mara's illness grows worse. Anakin saves her from several Vong but is being overmatched when Luke and Jacen show up and rescue them. There is then a huge battle on Dantooine, and the Republic prevails in the end with just too many jedi. Imp star destroyers win the space battle for them, making a permanent bond between NR and Imp forces. Jaina Solo joins Rouge Squadron during the fighting, and was vital in the space battle.
