| Balance Point by Kathy Tyers In Balance Point Jacen Solo is the main character, the book revolves around him not wanting to use the force. Jacen refuses to use it because he thinks it is of aggression. Jaina Solo is blinded in a crash with Rouge Squadron, so she comes to Duro with Han and Jacen to recover. Duro is a refugee planet for refugees from the Vong war. Nom Anor is there secretly and so is Leia but no one knows it. Nom Anor tells Tvasong Lah that there are Jedi and refugees on this planet. Lah orders an attack on the planet, and it commences. Duros only defense is Mara Jade, Luke Skywalker and Anakin Solo. They all fly in ships, trying to stop the Vong attack. While on the planet, Jacen, Han and Jaina finally meet up with Leia. While Leia, Jaina and Jacen go herd the refugees underground, Han defends the perimeter from Vong. Leia is caught and her two Nohgri Body Guards are killed before Jacen or Jaina can do anything. Jacen runs off in search for his mother, while Jaina goes to tell Han and get help. Jacen finally finds her mother dying from the Vong, who decided she was of little use. Jacen is called a coward by Lah and Anor, who taunt him. Jacen, seeing that his mother is dying, ignites his lightsaber and falls into the force, commiting himself. He spun around in circles, dancing out of the way of the Vong swings as he took on 5 Vong. 'How many of you does it take to kill someone you call a coward?' Jacen said. (Turned out to be a famous line) Then, using the Force, makes a Force storm, throwing tables and chairs at the various Vong. He grabs his mother and escapes. Leia barely survives. Duro was taken by the Vong, and Duro was a Core World, which means the Vong paved there path in even closer to Coruscant. StarWarsPolice Rating System gives Balance Point a 9.5 out of a possible 10. |
