Coruscant Taxi
Any of a number of repulsorlift transports used on Coruscant to shuttle passengers through the planet's crowded cityscape. The most common air taxis are small, agile vehicles capable of traveling at great speeds. Operated by pilots who have passed rigorous tests, the taxis are also the only vessels allowed to leave Coruscant's autonavigating skylanes. Such travel, however, requires keen reflexes and reliance on advanced scanners to avoid collisions.
Flash Speeder
A landspeeder used byt he Naboo Royal Security Forces to patrol city streets. Maneuverable and relatively fast, the Flash speeder is perfect for pursuing criminals and responding to emergencies. The single laser plaster is rarely used, but the vehicle can carry up to four armed Royal Security volunteers if necessary. The Flash speeder has very little armor, relying instead on its speed and agility, and it is not well-suited to travel in rugged terrain. However, it is ideal for travelling over Theed's smooth streets.
Gian Speeder
An armored landspeeder employed by the Naboo Royal Security Forces for crowd control, urban combat, and excursions into Naboo's wilderness regions. Equipped with three repeating blasters, the Gian speeder is a competent combat vehicle. It is capable of withstanding considerable punishment, and additional underside plating protects it from land mines, explosions, and natural hazards. Command versions of the Gian speeder are equipped with holographic projection systems for tactical planning.
Bongo
Model: Otoh Gunga Bongameken Cooperative Tribubble Bongo Sub
Length: 15 meters (50 feet)
Cargo Capacity: 800 KG (1800 LB) in each of 2 cargo bubbles
Crew: 1, with 2 passengers
Special Features: Forward cockpit can eject as an escape pod in emergencies, but can only sustain it's hydrostatic field for a brief time so it must race to the surface before the power runs out.
The speedy bongo is uniquely suited to travel between Gungan settlements. The transport is designed to travel exclusively underwater and is seemingly propelled forward by its spinning, rear tail fins. The tail fins actually cycle water through and advanced electromotive field, which is responsible for moving the vehicle. The field, working in conjunction with the rotating fins, provides propulsion. Hydrostatic chambers provide buoyancy, while hydrostatic fields projected over the bongo's three pods protect passengers and cargo.
Bongos are designed to take Gungans to their destinations swiftly and safely. Although they are durable, they are certainly no match for the jaws of Naboo's ferocious sea creatures, and thus the Gungans avoid the core whenever possible. If the bongo is badly damaged in a collision or encounter with Naboo's hostile sea life, the forward cockpit can serve as an escape pod, although it has only a limited supply of energy and thus the pilot much reach the surface quickly.
When not in use, bongos are generally kept in special bongo bays. Like other buildings in the Gungan settlements, bongo bays are large, bubble domes. A special membrane portal allows the vehicles to enter and exit. While inside the bongo bay, the vehicles utilize repulsolift disks to move about.
N-1 Starfighter
Like the Naboo Royal Starship, the N-1 Starfighter is a work of art as well as an effective space vessel. The sleek yellow design and chromium nose reflect Naboo design sensibilities, and the starfighters have been significantly modified to reduce emissions and protect the Naboo atmosphere.
Originally designed by the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps, the N-1, like the Queen's Starship, is build around may Nubian components. The hyperdrive engine ensures that the starfighters can follow the Queen whereever she wishes to travel, while advanced life-support systems and shields protect the pilots in most conditions.
The long pointed finials extending from the N-1's engines serve as heat sinks by circulating coolant. The central "tail" on the starfighter is capable of linking the vehicle directly to a number of sockets in the Theed hanger. These sockets recharge the starfighter and transmit data, such as encoded mission profiles and orders.
Radiant VII
A starship intended to carry ambassadors on missions throughout the galaxy. A Republic Cruiser's scarlet coloration identifies its diplomatic status. Because they are used only in the service of peace, Republic Cruisers lack weapons but boast powerful deflector shields. The starships also incorporate advanced salon pods, which can be modified to fulfill the particular needs of any given species and are often used for important meetings and negotiations.
The Radiant VII flew Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn to meet with the Neimoidians prior to the invasion of Naboo. It was destroyed after Darth Sidious instructed Rune Haako and Nute Gunray to dispense with the Jedi.
Sith Infiltrator
Designed by Raith Sienar and based on an armed courier developed by Sienar's Advanced Projects laboratory, the Infiltrator's most impressive feature is its cloaking device. The device is powered by rare and expensive stygium crystals found only on the volatice Outer Rim planet Aeten II. When activated, the cloaking device effectively conceals the Infiltrator from all sensors.
The Infiltrator's weapons system includes six laser cannons. It is propelled through space by a powerful ion drive, althrough its Sienar SSDS 11-A hyperdrive provides only modest hyperspace travel speed.
The Infiltrator can carry a wide range of tools and devices. A speeder bike can be deployed through an underside cargo hatch, while numerous compartments hold probe droids, torture devices, interrogator droids, surveillance gear, bombs, mines, poisons, weapons, and other equipment.
Sith Speeder
A small, single-passenger repulsorlift transport used by Darth Maul. The speeder's relatively simple design emphasizes maneuverability. In fact, the speeder completely lacks weapons, sensors, and shields. The high-performance engines allow for rapid acceleration, sharp turns, and quick stops, while the compact design presents a very small target. Darth Maul typically used the speeder to surprise or pursue his quarry. The open cockpit allowed him to leap directly from the vehicle and into combat.
Don't forget. This site is always under construction. So please come back!
