| The search for life is on!!! |

In March of 2002 the space shuttle will pay its fourth and final maintenance visit to the Hubble Space telescope. When its done the arm will push hubble off and what ever breaks will stay broken. Nasa has a couple new telescopes that will search for life.
2001- If all goes planned an new telescope will go up for the search for life. "SIRTF" will take to the sky. With its infrared cameras it will look through dust and gas at star we have never seen before. This telescope will not be as strong as Hubble but will give an inside of what is lurking behind the shadows.
2005- Nasa is getting real serious now, the new telescope called "SIM" can see nine times further than hubble. It will see stars and galaxies no other telescope has ever detected. But this is a very special telescope, it can detect planets, not just Jupiter size ones but Earth size.
2007-"NGST" is going to be probably the first one to detect life. It can detect planets and even zoom in on them looking at them. It will detect water vapor and other key ingredients for life.
THE BIG ONE!!!
In 15 years "TPF" will be launched. It will be able to detect planets on the other side of the galaxy, and if Earth has a twin somewhere this one will find it. So if there is anything out there will should find it very soon.
