| Untested Codes: They might Not Work! ...or maybe they do! The thing is, I haven't tried 'em! Go ahead and give 'em a shot, but use them at your own risk! Don't ask me if any of these work. Some obviously don't, but one or two might! Just be careful because some may harm your game! Have Pokéballs, Great Balls, or Ultra Balls work as Master Balls Hold up and B or up and A just before (some say just as) the ball hits the Pokémon. - Submitted by many viewers Another Way (for the above trick) This cheat takes practice. You throw any ball and right when the ball shows press up and hold it. Then when the ball reaches its highest point press B and hold it with up and you'll catch the Pokémon. (some people miss some details like just hold up and B but you have to do it this way for it too work). - Submitted by Strife Yet Another Better Chance of Catching Pokémon When you throw a Poke-ball hold A as it closes on the Pokémon. The Poke-ball will shut tighter, making it easier to catch the Pokémon. When using any kind of Poke-ball (except the Master Ball), enter a battle and prepare to throw it at a Pokémon. As soon as it appears, hold Up + B. The Ball will become a Master Ball and catch the Pokémon. Note: This trick requires precise timing. - Ok, One More (see above) First go into battle, and throw a Pokéball, Great ball, or Ultra ball. As soon as the ball leaves your hand, press and hold B and up. Then as the ball snaps shut press and hold A while still holding B and up. - Submitted by Mike T. Level 70 Gyarados Fish 3 times at the same place that you find Mewtwo, you'll find a level 70 Gyarados. - Submitted by A Ooi Catch Pokémon Easier Duplicate a master ball using the "Unlimited Items" trick. Then, use the master balls on all the Pokémon that you do not have to quickly capture them. - Submitted by Jayce Old Man On The Roof Step to the right of the door at the gym where you get the Volcano Badge. You should be on the edge of the water. Use Lapras to surf out into the water. Then, come back in and go to the door. The game will say that the door is locked. Look on the roof to find an old man. - Submitted by Jayce Winning Money In Celadon City Enter Celadon City and get the coin case from the man in the back of the diner. Go to the slots and ask for some free coins. You will use these to play the slots and win Pokémon prizes. Here is how to find the slot machine that pays out the most. When you walk in, there are rows of slots. Find the man to the far left that says "wins come and go". Below him is a machine that is out of order. Play the machine directly beneath it. Do not get frustrated if you do not win constantly. If it stops paying out a lot, leave, go train your Pokémon, and come back later. Note: This trick works more often in the "Blue" version of the game. Also try walking around Celadon's Game Corner and repeatedly press A to find coins that people have dropped. - Submitted by Jayce Clone Pokémon Note: This trick requires another Game Boy and Pokémon game. Trade the Pokémon to be cloned, and have the other player get a Pokémon that he or she does not care about. Trade them, and make sure the player receiving the bad Pokémon can see the other player's screen. When the Game Boy that receives the good Pokémon's displays "Waiting", get ready to shut the other Game Boy off. When the "Waiting" message disappears, turn off the Game Boy that is receiving the bad Pokémon. When the "Trade completed" message appears, turn off the remaining Game Boy. Both games will have the same good Pokémon when they are turned back on. Note: Do not attempt this trick with any saved games you wish to keep, as it can corrupt those files if done incorrectly. - Submitted by Jayce Harder Hitting Attacks Hold A while attacking to do more damage. - Submitted by Jayce Kangaskhan in Red Version and/or Blue Talk to the man in Viridian City and let him show you how to catch Pokémon. Then, go to Fuchsia and surf until reaching Sea Foam Island. Surf up and down until the M' Pokémon appears. Catch it and use one rare candy on it to evolve it into Kangaskhan. Go into the museum and talk to the girl that says her dad will catch her a pikachu. When your out of the museum don't move. Fly to Fuchsia city to catch a tauros. You should have 5 Pokémon in your line up so you can save room for the tauros. After you catch the tauros in the safari zone, fly to celadon city. Go into the casino and talk to people. You'll meet a girl that said she found a strange Pokémon in the back of the museum. She said she can't control it so she'll give it to you. When you get the Pokémon the name will be ??????. Put the ?????? Pokémon on top of your line up. Fly to Pallet town and talk to Prof. Oak. When you talk to him it'll say you delivered Oak's parcel. Fly to Lavender town and go to the nickname rater. Change your ????? Pokémon's name to pikablu and you will get pikablu. Pikablu is a very strong Pokémon. When you get it, it will be level 999. The moves of pikablu are electrode, electric wave, psyshock and he can learn sonicboom. - Submitted by Kevin Phan Get Pikablu If you get a Squirtle at the beginning of the game when it reaches level 15 teach it "dig". Use it in a battle against a Zubat and Squirtle will turn into Pikablu! SERIOUSLY! - Submitted by Frank Get Pikablu I dont know if this works but to get pikablu trade 2 Raichus from a red to blue 20 times. It should work cuz my friend showed me the process he got pikablu so it should work. The raichus evolve after the 20th trade. Go where Giovanni was (it won't be there now though) press ABBAABBABA. Then fly straight to the viridian gym, and talk to giovanni. then talk to Oak. Then go where the rare candies where. There now rare vitamins there. Rare vitamins will automatically make any Pokémon evolve. Use it on Pikachu for pikablu. - Submitted by dznutz26 Pokéisland To get to Pokeisland, you have to beat the elite4 15 times and then go talk to the 2 guards that where standing outside of Giovannis office and they will tell you that he is looking for you. Then go to Prof. Oak and talk to him. He will say that Giovanni stopped by to talk to you. Then go to your house and talk to Ashe's Mom. She will say that someone is upstairs waiting for you. Go upstairs and you will see Giovanni standing there Talk to him and he will say Ash (or what ever you called your character) I have looked all over for you, I have a deal to make with you. If you beat me this last time, then i will take you to a special place." And then you have to beat him, but be careful he is harder that Gary after the elite4. So you have to take big precautions with which Pokémon you will have out. After you beat Giovanni, he will say "good work Ash (or what ever you named your character) now you have proven yourself worthy I will take you to my favorite place." He will fly you and him to a place! That is not on the map and if you read the sign that is right in front of you it will say "welcome to Pokeisland." - Submitted by Bill Johnson See a Truck (no, really) After you get cut from the captain on the S.S. Anne get blacked out. The ship will still be there. After you get surf come back to the dock where you see the ship. Surf to the right and you will see a truck that doesn't do anything, but it's neat. - Submitted by J. Jensen Make the S.S. Anne Stay First go to the s.s. anne and fight bill and get cut from the ship's captain. then find a trainer and purposely lose. You will black out and be sent to the nearest Pokécenter but if you go back to the s.s. anne it will still be there! - Submitted by Frogcruz1 Get Mew This is really how you get Mew. Start a new game and get a Charmander. When you fight the Pokémon in the grassy areas outside of Pallet Town, don't defeat them. Instead let your Pokémon die and come back at your house. Do this about 4 times and go see Prof. Oak. He will give you Mew in its place! I guarantee this will work! - Submitted by Starfox Get Mew There is a man in the Pokécenter next to Mount Moon who will sell you a Magikarp. Get the Magikarp from him and take it to the daycare center a the bottom of cerulean city leave him in there until level fifty then take him out he will be a Mew. - Submitted by Andrew Editor's Note: Other people say that once you take out the Magikarp you must then raise him one level in battle, or one level with a Rare Candy before he changes. Get Mew After you get a Pikachu go to Cerulean city in 1 minute. Go to the Pokémon gym. You must also have Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Butterfree, and Mewtwo in your hand. Then teach Mewtwo toxic. Then go to the room where Zapdos was then use a psychic or mist stone on Mewtwo. Then Mewtwo should evolve in to Magikarp then use a water stone on magikarp then it will evolve into Mew. - Submitted by Bryan Get Mew To get Mew without a gameshark you have to first skip the SS Anne, so a friend has to trade you a Pokémon with cut, and continue throughout the game until you get surf, strength and the badges needed to use them out of battle. Then return to the SS Anne and surf to the right of the SS Anne. Move the truck with the Pokémon with strength and under it will be Mew. I did this code and it works. This code is real (I swear!) - Submitted by Coolgal13 Get Mew You need two Pokémon Game Packs (any version) that have both caught MewTwo, Two Gameboys, Link Cable. Go either Celadon City or Cerulean City (different with each game, but one of these) so that you're both at one place. Battle at the Pokecenter. Lance will then offer to trade you a pidioto for a pidgey( I know what you're thinking, there has to be a catch, but there isn't ) Lance will then tell you about a secret island where you can trade a pigioto for a MEWTHREE!!
