On the path to Viridian City, AJ met a girl named Sarah, but I'm jumping ahead of myself. This how it happened.

AJ, Squirtle, and Rattata were walking on the path to Viridian City and saw a small creek by the side of the path. AJ's canteen was empty so he decided to fill it up.

While AJ was filling his canteen and Squirtle and Rattata were getting drinks, he saw a girl about his age sitting across from the creek.

Then he saw a Spearow attacking her. Then, he saw the girl slip and watched her only 2 pokeballs fall into the river. "Squirtle!" AJ cried "Get those Pokeballs!" Squirtle imediately dove into the water after the Pokeballs.
"Rattata, let's help that girl!" "Rattttttata!" "Rattata, tackle the Spearow now!" AJ commanded. Rattata tackled the Spearow and hard! That made the Spearow really upset. It started pecking at Rattata's head. "Rattata, use Tail Whip, Now!" Th Rattata knocked down the Spearow with its tail. Before AJ had the chance to catch it, the Spearow angerily flew away.

"Are you Okay?" AJ asked. "Ya, thanks to you and Rattata." "But I lost my only 2 pokemon." She sayed with a sigh. Then, Squirtle jumped out of the water with 2 pokeballs in his mouth. "My Pokemon!" the girl screamed excitedly. "Thank you so much Squirtle!" the girl said, hugging the turtle Pokemon. "By the way, what's your name?" AJ asked. "Sarah, the great Psychic Pokemon Trainer. What's yours?" "AJ, future Pokmon Master!" he said. "Well, since you saved my life and my Pokemon, I'd like to help you on your journey." Sarah said. "OK" AJ responded. "By the way, what Pokemon do you have?" AJ asked with curiosity. He was really excited about seeing new Pokemon. "I have...... Mr. Mime!" She said, gently tossing a Pokeball on the ground. "Wow!" AJ said. He quickly pulled out his Pokedex.
*Mr. Mime*
*A psychic Pokemon. Uses few physical attack such as Double Slap but uses alot of Psychic attacks such as Meditate and Barrier*

"The other one I have is....... Slowpoke!" She said tossing a Pokeball on the ground. AJ pointed his Pokedex at the strange Pokemon.
*Slowpoke*
*A Water/Psychic Pokemon. It takes 5 seconds for pain to reach its brain.*
Rattata thought it was the enemy and bit it on its tail. AJ scolded Rattata. AJ watched as Slowpoke did nothing for atleast 5 seconds and then let out a high pitched "Sssssllllooooowwwwwppppooookkkkkeeeee!"Oh Slowpoke!" Sarah said, putting him back in the Pokeball.

Then, behind them they heard a voice say, "What lovely Pokemon......" "For us to steal!" finished another. Alow us to introduce ourselves "I'm Jesse!" "And I'm James. We're members of Team Rocket!" "Don't forget Meowth!" a Pokemon said behind them. "You aren't going to steal out Pokemon!" Sarah said. "Go Mr. Mime!" Sarah said. "Go Squirtle!" AJ shouted. "Go Ekans!" Jesse said. "Go Koffing!" James said. "I'll take the snake and you take the other one, ok?" Sarah said. "Mr. Mime, Confusion now!" Mr. Mime let out psychic energy at Ekans. "Ekans, dive under ground!" Jesses said. Mr. Mime's attack missed. "Squirtle, Tackle now!" AJ shouted. "Koffing, counter-attack now!" James exclaimed. Koffing blocked Squirtle's attack and the hit knocked Squirtle away. Ekans dove back up from underground, but missed Mr. Mime. "Mr. Mime, Barrier now!"
Sarah screamed. "Bit it Ekans!" Jesse said. Ekans tried biting through the barrier, but he couldn't get through.
"Koffing, Sludge attack now!" James shouted. "Squirtle, Water Gun now!" AJ shouted. Squirtle blocked Koffings shot and the Sludge shot back at him. "Squirtle, finish them off with Skull Bash!" Squirtle rammed his head into Koffing and Ekans and Jesses, James, Koffing, Ekans, and Meowth ended up flying through the air. "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" After getting rid of Team Rocket, AJ and Sarah continued there journey to Viridian City. Once they reached Viridian City, Sarah showed AJ the Pokecenter and Pokemart.

That night, they slept at the Pokecenter. What an exciting day for AJ and Sarah! Who knows what exciting adventures is lurking behind the corner. Find out in the next fanfic!
