Basketball has many rules. There are to many for me to tell you so I will just tell you the basics. 1. You can NOT dribble the ball then pick it up and then dribble it again this is called Double Dribble 2. You can NOT dribble the ball then pick it up then run or walk with the ball. This is called Traveling. 3. You SHOULD not hit or touch or push anyone on the other team while they are taking a shot unless you are losing by around 1-6 points and it is near the end of the game. 4. You SHOULD not dunk the basketball and then hang on the rim for over 2 seconds. If you do this it will be called a technical foul. ( this is not true in the NBA ) 5. In a game you should not foul the other team 5 times or you are fouled out! That means you can not play anymore during that whole game. Those are the main rules of basketball there are to many to tell so I went alonge and gave you the main rules. Well that is all on this page. |
