About Enrique Pardo:
Psychotherapy is now 100 years old and, if many critics are correct, it's time to ask if it continues to be of use and what alternatives might be available to people seeking to know themselves better. One method, long practiced by the Greeks and illustrated in the recent film Shakespeare in Love, is performance.
Enrique Pardo, who has roots in the legendary Roy Hart Theatre, is founder of Pantheatre and the international Myth and Theatre Festival. While he does not seek to develop a new psychological practice, his work with actors is a revolutionary method of revealing the psyche's contents, just as it reveals the deeper meanings of texts for performance. Pardo's work, although informed by archetypal psychology, is done entirely outside the rules of professional psychology.
This workshop is open to people in the psychological and theatre professions, as well as anyone wishing to know themselves better. You may register as a participant or as an observer. Just as an audience shares a deep experience in watching performers, observers of this work also often report important effects on the personal psyche.
