CHANGE
For change to happen in one’s life
We must embrace God’s desire
To cleanse us from iniquity
And refine us through the fire
The process takes a willing heart
Committed to His plan
Removing all that does portray
The sinfulness of man
But only through obedience
Do we accomplish real life change
So let’s bury each of our attempts
To rid us from all shame
Monastic, intellectual
Psychological, legalistic
I’ve tried them all to no avail
They all were too simplistic
Replace, convert and substitute
Every area in my heart
Adjust, transform and modify
Your servant set apart
Apart from You, we cannot do
The simplest of all tasks
We cannot make ourselves be new
So here we are to ask
I really, really want to change
So, will You help me God?
