-starring Ian Roy-
1. Approuch the lip with a lot of speed.
2. Let your board go up the lip as if you were doing a straight air.
3. Lead your rotation by turning your shoulders frontside.
4. Bring your board up in front of you and grab stailfish during your first 180.
5. This is where you want to give 'er some style and tweak it like you wish you could do on a skateboard.
6. Keep leading your rotation by turning your head and looking where it is you want to go.
7. Let go of your grab at the very end of your spin and snap your tail on the lip.
8. Ride away smooth, and talk less.
-FRONTSIDE AIRS-
starring Jean-Babtiste"Babs"Charlet
When you are sessioning a hip in the mountains, the main thing to focus on is being stable on your board and knowing the amount of speed you are carrying on the runway. It helps to do a speed check to gauge the proper speed needed to make the landing. When you first hit the jump, just ride off it doing a normal ollie--try to locate your stability while in the air. Once you have that dialed, you then want to grab between your feet[toeside] and spot a landing. keep your eyes focused on the landing all the way. Stick it strongly with your front leg, and stand up as you ride out of it.
This is my point of view, and everyone's different, because snowboarding is something that comes from within yourself. So ride and ride and it will come to you... |
