Just like the deck theres not much you can do to preserve your trucks. You can stop it from scratching though by not ginding... I'd rather grind my trucks up though.

If you land wrong you might snap the kingpin, but its not the trucks fault.

Whenever you clean your bearings you should also wipe off the truck axle with paper towel or a rag. This keeps the dirt on the axle from going into the bearings.

The only was to keep your trucks from getting scratched up and worn down is to get grind plates. Not a base plate! Grind plates, they go on the axle of the truck. You won't find these in any local skate shop... And you can't order them from Japan or anything like that. I make them and then sell them to ppl around my house. Most of the ppl that are getting a pair havent payed for them. We've worked out some sorta deal or something liek that. I make them outa some nails, wires and a lil tiny bit of tape. That's all im saying cus I dont need anyone ripping off my bussiness :)
