Blunt Stall
-On Ramp
Aproach the ramp or jump with just enough speed to get the back wheels over. Put down the back foot just before going over the edge(or a manual for 3 inches). You'l have your tail on the jump and your back wheels over so your standing on the board. Put your front foot down letting you over the jump slowly after you've held it for a second.
-On Ledge
Skate towards the ledge with enough speed to ollie over it. Ollie sooner than you would of you were gona make it over. Don't level out your ollie. Land on the tail with the front trucks over. Put some wieght on your front foot but not enough yto put the nose down. Pop the tail a bit and 180 off.
-On Quarter Pipe/Mini Ramp(Blunt stall to fakie)
Ride at the quarter pipe with enough speed to get the back truck over. You will need lots on speed, you may need to pump too. Back foot on the tail, font foot on the front truck bolts. Once you get the back truck over the coping press forward on the front of the board to get the board at an angle instead of straight up and down. Once you get in this position press hard on the tail and pull the front foot in to sort of pop the board, hit the tail hard anough to get the back truck off the top of the quarter pipe. Remember to kep the font leg in so that the front truck can clear back in too. If you dont then you will end up getting your board hung up and fall down the quarter pipe, trust me you don't want to do this. Learn this on mini ramps and small quarter pipes first. |
